AOC suggests people like Daniel Penny should be locked up to prevent more ‘violence’

Proving once again that a college education does not equate to intelligence, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez weighed in on the Daniel Penny verdict.

Penny was declared not guilty in the death of Jordan Neely, and this just doesn’t sit right with leftists like AOC. A reporter asked the representative how she feels about Penny saying he wouldn’t hesitate to do it again if he was put in that situation a second time, and the congresswoman wasted no time clutching her pearls.

“Well you know, doesn’t that, I just feel like, that, that tells us everything. If we do not want violence on our subways, and the point of our justice system is a level of accountability to prevent a person who does not have remorse about taking another person’s life- I mean even people who have engaged in manslaughter or who have taken a life accidentally, express remorse. And so the fact that a person may express no remorse, indicates that there’s a risk it may happen again. And if we don’t want to unleash that violence, then we should exert a level of accountability, to prevent that from happening,” AOC rambled.

Yes, had there been accountability for Neely, he wouldn’t have been on the subway threatening people while having a warrant for assault. He wouldn’t have died. He would be in prison instead.
