There’s little argument on the right that Barack Obama may be the most divisive president America has seen in modern history, so it’s quite audacious of him to suggest political divisiveness is one of the “greatest challenges of our time.”
Obama is rallying behind the notion of “pluralism,” explaining during a Democracy Forum in Chicago it “means that in a democracy, we all have to find a way to live alongside individuals and groups who are different than us.”
“It is not about abandoning your convictions and folding when things get tough. It’s about recognizing that in a democracy, power comes from forging alliances and building coalitions, and making room in those coalitions not only for the woke but also for the waking,” the former president said.
At the same time, Obama essentially accused Republicans of trying to fix elections and weaponize justice and the military — in effect, projecting the actions Democrats are currently engaged in on the GOP.
NEW: Obama says Republicans are the ones who rig elections and weaponize the justice system while speaking at a “Democracy Forum.”
The comment was so outrageous that Obama could barely get the words out of his mouth.

“There are going to be times, potentially, when one side tries to stack the deck and lock in a permanent grip on power,” he said. “Either by actively suppressing votes, or politicizing the armed forces, or using the judiciary or criminal justice system to go after their opponents. In those circumstances, pluralism does not call for us to just stand back and say ‘Well, I’m not sure, that’s okay’. In those circumstances, a line has been crossed and we have to stand firm and speak out and organize and mobilize as forcefully as we can.”
Turns out, Obama’s audacity is as strong as ever, as is his condescending attitude toward the American people. At the same time, as one social media user noted, Obama seemed to have a hard time spewing nonsense about the “other side.”
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on Elon Musk’s free speech platform X:
Well he didn’t say Republicans He said one side … that side would be his. He’s knows that, that’s prob why he could barely utter that ridiculousness out of his mouth.

Sounds like it’s the same old playbook for the Democrats.
Accuse others of what they are doing is actually their number one play.

Projection at its finest. Obama accuses Republicans of ‘rigging elections’ and ‘weaponizing justice,’ but let’s not forget the IRS targeting conservatives or the DOJ’s selective prosecutions. This is classic: accuse your opponents of exactly what your side has mastered.

Obama talking about rigged elections is like a thief blaming someone else for the robbery.
He built the system that’s doing exactly what he’s whining about

Barack Obama doesn’t care that Democrats just got blown out in the election because of gaslighting like his.
Obviously it’s been the Dems weaponizing government and cheating at elections for decades.
Barack himself had censorship and legacy media in his favor when he “won.”
