Biden appears to catch some Z’s during Trans-Africa Summit in Angola

Video of President Joe Biden appearing to fall asleep during a meeting with African leaders is going viral.

“Sleepy Joe,” as he’s been dubbed by his critics, seems to have struck again, this time while meeting with African leaders in Angola to discuss the Lobito railway project. The project could, in part, be used to transfer important minerals from the Congo and Zamia to the West, giving locals the ability to compete with Chinese influence in the area.

“As things stand, China is the main foreign player in Democratic Republic of Congo’s mining sector, which exports minerals considered critical for batteries and other industrial components key to transitioning away from fossil fuels,” Reuters reported.

While the meeting is critical to the future of African independence, Biden appears to have dozed off during a press conference:

While it’s unclear whether the president actually fell asleep during the summit, X users had seen enough to pass judgment:
