‘This is nuts’: Ramaswamy critical of NYC for paying Pakistan millions to house illegal migrants

As bizarre as it is that any country would allow 10 million-plus illegal immigrants to storm its borders, the efforts by Democrats to not only facilitate this invasion but go to great lengths to accommodate the invaders is even more bizarre.

But then, Elon Musk nailed it when he suggested that Democrats were essentially importing voters in a quest for one-party rule, much like we see in California today.

However, a reported scenario in New York City borders on crazy. Just ask Vivek Ramaswamy, who responded to a report that the Big Apple paid the Pakistani government $220 million to rent the entire Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan to house illegal migrants — the Muslim nation owns the 19-story hotel, which had been closed since 2020.

“A taxpayer-funded hotel for illegal migrants is owned by the Pakistani government which means NYC taxpayers are effectively paying a foreign government to house illegals in our own country. This is nuts,” wrote Ramaswamy, who is pairing up with Musk to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under President-elect Donald Trump.

According to author and former investment banker John LeFevre, “the deal was part of a $1.1 billion IMF bailout package to help Pakistan avoid defaulting on their international debt.”

He added, “Prior to this sweetheart deal, the hotel had been closed since 2020, having long-struggled with occupancy and in dire need of renovation.”

Pakistan agreed to a three year lease for the 1250-room hotel, which had previously shut down during the pandemic.

Musk was on board with the “crazy” assessment:
