Out-of-touch elitist Chuck Todd whines that tariffs will be a ‘guacamole tax’

The same corrupt media that sat on its hands as America was invaded by more than 10 million illegal immigrants pouring across the wide open border created by the Biden administration wasted no time shifting into anti-Trump mode.

Look no further than NBC’s Chuck Todd, who was quick to respond to Trump’s recent announcement that he would impose a 25% tariff “on ALL products coming into the United States” from Mexico and Canada “until such time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens stop this Invasion of our Country!”

The elitist journalist whined about a “guacamole tax” while discussing the tariffs on MSNBC, the term being a good indication marching orders were issued given that it is being regurgitated ad nauseam on the left.

“I think that is certainly a concern when you talk to the more libertarian-minded economics, folks, including the folks at Picado Institute,” Todd said. “This is another reason why tariffs potentially are so damaging to the country because it’s so easily corruptible, it becomes part of this back-and-forth deal-making.

“And by the way, just to simplify this, we’re talking about tariffs. But let me make this pretty simple. If this slaps on, it’s a guacamole tax,” he added. “We get most avocados in this country come from Mexico. If you enjoy guacamole, be prepared to pay a higher tax for it if these tariffs go through.”

The same talking heads denouncing Trump’s proposed tariffs had little to say when President Biden not only maintained $300 billion worth of tariffs Trump imposed on China during his first administration but even increased some.

The media has also shown no interest whatsoever in the billions of dollars the U.S. is spending to facilitate the flow of millions of foreign nationals crossing illegally into the country.

To hear Chock Todd tell it, cheap guacamole is more important than securing the border and protecting American women from being raped and murdered by illegal immigrants.
