‘The View’ co-host has to read ANOTHER note after smearing Trump nominees

The frustration was palpable on ‘The View’ as co-host Sunny Hostin was forced to issue another legal note on allegations the group was discussing.

Following President-elect Donald Trump’s electoral victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, the media has gone into overdrive to dig up any possible dirt on his Cabinet picks. Pete Hegseth and Matt Gaetz were first up on the chopping block as past allegations of sexual misconduct were dredged up and paraded about by enraged leftists.

One such allegation was a claim of sexual assault levied by a woman who claimed Hegseth was inappropriate with her at a political event in 2017. This incident, which Hegseth maintains was consensual, was investigated by police who found that there was not enough evidence to move forward with a criminal case.

Similarly, Gaetz has denied accusations of sexual misconduct which were investigated by the Justice Department and resulted in a dismissal with no charges being brought against the Republican lawmaker.

Hostin once again had to make note that both men insist they are innocent of any wrongdoing, and that no legal action had been taken in either situation.

“I have a legal note. Matt Gaetz has long denied all allegations and has not been charged with any crime. Gaetz previously dismissed allegations that he paid for sex saying ‘someone is trying to recategorize my generosity to ex-girlfriends,'” Sunny said before issuing the second note.

“Another legal note. Pete Hegseth’s lawyer said he paid off the woman in 2023 to head off the threat of a baseless lawsuit.”

For a group that loves to stop the spread of misinformation, it appears that the need to add context to their discussion ticked off Joy Behar.

“Just call the show ‘Legal Note’ from now on,” she burst out.

On Tuesday, Hostin was also employed to do some legal cleanup while once again discussing the allegations against Gaetz. Looking slightly nauseous, Hostin delivered the fact-check.

“Matt Gaetz has long denied all allegations, calling the claims, quote, ‘invented,’ and saying in a statement to ABC News that ‘this false smear following a three-year criminal investigation should be viewed with great skepticism.’ The DOJ investigation was closed with no charges being brought,” she growled.
