Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s administration doled out taxpayer money to a nonprofit that offers paraphernalia allowing drug users to get high quickly by ingesting illegal substances “through the butthole.”
The “booty bumping” kits are promoted by a Minneapolis-based group that was included with 135 organizations receiving $100 million in grants for providing “vital” services to the homeless, a giveaway that was proudly announced by “Tampon Tim” in May with the money “supporting a number of services including street outreach, shelter, and harm reduction for drug users,” according to his administration.
While the kits that are touted by Southside Harm Reduction Services – one of the groups named in Walz’s announcement – on social media didn’t initially get any attention, the intrepid researchers at the Washington Free Beacon found that the “harm reduction” services offered included “the provision of kits that contain syringes, sterile water, drug cookers, and lube that allow users to ingest drugs ‘through the rectum (anus, butthole).'”

According to Southside Harm Reduction, the “booty bumping” or “boofing” kits are a more efficient and safe method to take drugs and get off with junkies turning to the gross method because the drugs “reach the bloodstream quickly,” and help drug users “reach a high faster than some other routes of administration.”
“Try to poop before. This is so your drugs are absorbed better,” reads a pamphlet included in the “booty bumping” kits. “Stand, squat, or lay on your side in a comfortable position. It never hurts to have a boofing buddy!”
Southside Harm Reduction Services’ “booty bumping” kits are related to the nonprofit’s promotion of “slamming” which the outlet describes as “a practice popular among some in the gay community in which users inject drugs such as methamphetamine while having sex.”
“If you like slamming it makes a lot of sense to learn how to do it well. This section explains where to inject, the injecting process and technique, and all of the equipment you will need,” reads a brochure linked to the organization’s website.
This coming from a guy who Kamala Harris at least partially tabbed to be her running mate because he described Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance as being “weird” which is a term that more accurately describes himself.
According to the Free Beacon, “The Walz administration has given $3,104,365 to Southside Harm Reduction Services since 2020 for syringe exchange programs and other “harm reduction” initiatives, according to state spending records. The Walz administration awarded $432,000 to Southside Harm Reduction Services in 2023 to provide ‘low-barrier access’ to harm reduction supplies.”
“Addressing the issue of homelessness is a top priority, and this funding is a major step in the right direction. The 135 organizations receiving state grants are meeting people where they’re at to get them on their feet. Whether providing hot meals, chemical health assessment, and treatment, or shelter space, their services are vital. Together we are making real strides to end homelessness in Minnesota.” Gov. Walz said in a statement announcing the grant money.
