‘Just shut up!’: Megyn Kelly slams Michelle Obama for ripping America, says ‘everything she has’ is thanks to US

Daily Caller News Foundation

SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly called out former first lady Michelle Obama on Monday for criticizing America, saying that “everything she has” is thanks to the country.

Michelle Obama joined Vice President Kamala Harris’ rally Saturday, expressing frustration to supporters about hesitant voters and specifically calling on men to take responsibility. On “The Megyn Kelly Show,” the SiriusXM host criticized the former first lady’s remarks, saying she’s “sick and tired” of her complaints that the U.S. is “racist and sexist.”

“Well, the other point is the Democrats were on bended knee with two dozen red roses begging Michelle Obama to run, especially when Joe Biden started to implode,” Kelly said. “They would have done anything to sub her in … I’m so sick and tired of Michelle Obama whining about how racist and sexist America is. We made her rich, famous, and beloved beyond any measure.”

“Everything she has is due to this country — her Martha’s Vineyard estate, her Chicago estate, her Washington, D.C., estate, her Hawaii estate, and her trips on the David Geffen yacht. I am sick and tired of her complaining about us. It’s like Oprah. Just shut up! All of your gifts are due to us. All we want to hear you say is thank you. That’s it. That’s what we want to hear you say. Stop ripping on the country,” Kelly added.

In recent weeks, Harris has worked to gain male voters as the gender gap between her and former President Donald Trump has widened significantly. In CBS News/YouGov’s latest poll, Trump holds a nine-point lead among men while Harris has a 12-point lead among women.

At the beginning of October, Harris had former President Barack Obama join her at a Pennsylvania rally to address voters in the key swing state. However, Obama faced backlash for scolding men and telling supporters backstage that turnout numbers, especially among black men, were lagging.
