Out of all of former President Donald J. Trump’s accomplishments, one that he can take particular pride in is the exposure of the entire mainstream media as a pack of liars and frauds.
Continuing his string of pre-election interviews, the Republican nominee sat down with host Patrick Bet-David on the latest edition of the popular “PBD podcast” and during their wide-ranging discussion, the topic of the corrupt media came up.

“I think the only one that Letitia James, Jack Smith and maybe even Fani if they wanted to you know claim that you did commit a crime is you kind of, you kind of did kill mainstream media, if you think about it,” Bet-David stated.
“I did,” responded Trump, adding, “I’m very proud of it too.”
The host then played a video clip showing what he believes to be the “first time ever the phrase fake news was ever used,” a back and forth between Trump and yappy CNN showoff Jim Acosta.
“And from this moment on is when the decline started,” Bet-David said.
The clip showed President-elect Trump’s first press conference after his surprise win in the 2016 election where he was badgered by Acosta over his criticism of the media.
“You are fake news,” he told the CNN pest, before calling on another more polite reporter, and the term stuck to the ultra-biased cable “news” network like glue.
“But isn’t that disgusting?” Trump asked after the clip. “Think of it, and that would never happen to a Democrat. But isn’t that disgusting? He’s a lowlife, the guy, as you know,” he added, referring to Acosta.
“And he has his own show, he gets no ratings, at all,” the former president added. “Nobody on CNN gets ratings. But isn’t that a disgusting – you know, I’m just watching that and isn’t it a shame that people can behave that way, against a president?”
“And yeah, I think, I got, I think I’m responsible for those numbers up there where they went down,” referring to the plunging mainstream media ratings and lack of credibility. “And frankly I’m proud of it.. I also am responsible for the term ‘fake news’ and that’s a great term but it’s not strong enough.”
“I think it’s ‘corrupt news’ is a better term but it doesn’t play as well,” Trump told the host. “But they’re corrupt people and disgusting people, but he is … he wasn’t as bad as some… in a certain way, he was louder but he wasn’t as smart as some…,” again referring to Acosta.
Bet-David then asked, “Did you think your were gonna say fake news? Or does it just kind of came out and then it stuck? You’re like this is gonna stick.”
“I don’t know if that’s the first time I’ve used it,” Trump responded. “But I do get credit for having you know, having been an originator of the term. You know a lot of times I come up with, I have a very fertile mind. I come up with very good names for people… Pocahontas, lots of good names, but you know, I don’t know if that’s the first time but I thought of that term often…”
And Trump is right because other than suckers, losers, and leftists, nobody trusts the fake news media anymore.
Exposing them as what they are is right up there with smoking out the Deep State in terms of Trump’s wins.
