Kamala cracks a beer with Colbert as monster hurricane bears down on Florida

In an abrupt shift of strategy, Democrat nominee Kamala Harris’ handlers decided that it was time to start deploying her to do interviews, and it’s already obvious why they wanted to keep her under wraps.

Despite the friendly forums and fawning hosts, the undisputed word salad queen has struggled with articulating a coherent message and in a moment that could soon come back to haunt her, cracked a beer with late-night host Stephen Colbert.

During his sit-down with Harris on Monday’s edition of “The Late Show,” the host told her that elections “are won on vibes” before producing two cans of Miller High Life and asking if she’d like to join him in having a beer. “Because one of the old saws is I – they just want somebody they can have a beer with.”

The two left-wing elitists then cracked the cans and shared a toast.

The optics are already backfiring bigly on Harris who has been criticized for her response to Hurricane Helene and is now boozing it up with a rich leftist celebrity as a catastrophic Category 5 hurricane is set to smash into Florida’s populous Gulf Coast, a “let them eat cake” moment for modern times.

Before her knocking back some suds with Colbert, the Harris interview blitz already wasn’t going well. Fox News’s Jesse Watters noted that she even bombed her appearance on “The View” where she admitted that she and ousted Joe Biden are basically chained at the hip.

Also on Colbert, Harris declined to be specific about any “major changes” that she’d implement if she ended up being president.

“You are a member of the present administration, but under a Harris administration, what would the major changes be, and what would stay the same?” Colbert asked.

“Sure, well I’m obviously not Joe Biden,” she answered to hoots of approval from Colbert’s audience who she rewarded with a muh Trump word salad. “So that would be one change in terms of – but also I think it’s important to say with 28 days to go, I’m not Donald Trump.”

“And so when we think about the significance of what this next generation of leadership looks like, were I to be elected president, it is about – frankly, I love the American people, and I believe in our country. I love that it is our character and nature to be an ambitious people. You know, we have aspirations, we have dreams. We have incredible work ethic,” she said.

“And I just believe that we can create and build upon the success we’ve achieved in a way that we continue to grow opportunity and in that way, grow the strength of our nation,” Harris continued before touting her “opportunity economy” pitch and talking about her small business owner mother,” the vice president added.
