Philly weekend filled with mobs, violence and chaos: ‘Pretty sure I saw this scene in The Joker’

Videos from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania reportedly show a weekend of violence and chaos, including one moment where a mob surrounds a marked police vehicle.

This is evidence that some people just don’t respect the law and aren’t afraid of the consequences of their actions, and soft-on-crime district attorneys are doing nothing to promote peace in their cities.

Watch:

This scene is reportedly the moment police attempted to intervene and disperse several illegal car-related gatherings in the area. According to PLH17, these 11 meetups happened across the city and involved “crowds from 50 to more than 200 vehicles engaging in illegal street racing, lighting bonfires, setting off fireworks, shooting a flamethrower, and even damaging police vehicles.”

The activity started around 9:30 pm on Saturday, September 21, and ended a little after 4:30 am on Sunday, and was described by Philadelphia police Deputy Commissioner Mike Cram as a game of “whack-a-mole.”

“It’s playing whack-a-mole, that’s the best way to describe it,” he said of trying to police the incidents. “We hit them at one location they move to another.”

Even Elon Musk commented on the wild footage, comparing it to something out of a movie.

X users had plenty to say about the madness:
