Enoch Burke, a teacher from Ireland who has been locked in a battle with a local school board over his refusal to refer to a male student as “they,” has been arrested for the third time.
According to the Irish Times, the Christian teacher was jailed for not complying with a court order to stay away from Wilson’s Hospital School in Co Westmeath. Burke was dismissed by the school board over the row.
From his perspective, Burke said that he was being jailed over his refusal to accept “the hellish ideology of transgenderism.”
“Judge Barry O’Donnell, who made almost €400,000 from 2016-2018 representing TUSLA as a barrister, ordered his arrest,” read a message posted on Burke’s X account. “TUSLA is the Irish State ‘Child Protection’ agency, an organisation saturated with LGBT ideology, urging staff recently to learn about cross-dressers and drag performers, and making acceptance of LGBT and transgender ideology a condition for fostering children. What a mockery to expect Enoch Burke, a Christian teacher, to sit before this man and expect justice.”

Burke claimed that the truth about the case was being “trampled into the ground” but added “that the truth will rise up again,” the Times reported.
He told Sky News his dismissal from the school was not valid because the appeal process is still playing out, and pointed out he was still being paid.
“I teach everyone who’s in front of me. I teach every single student,” Burke said when asked why not respect a student’s preferred pronouns.
“But when I’m commanded, when I’m told that I can’t have my religious belief anymore, when I’m told I have to confess belief in transgenderism, instead of my simple belief, which is male and female, that is just a breach simply of my rights,” he insisted.
The battle against woke ideology that Burke is fighting is much larger than just himself and continues to play out all around us.
