Trying a little too hard, AOC makes a mockery of herself at DNC with strange new accent

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) spoke Monday night at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago — the fact that she drew an opening night slot is perhaps an indication of her fading relevance.

AOC did what she does best, which is to make a mockery of herself, coming across as someone who has started believing their own press clippings. The socialist lawmaker seemed to be auditioning before the party faithful for a future White House run, but her enthusiasm may have gotten the better of her.

In a scripted attack on Republican nominee Donald Trump, the left-wing lawmaker seemed to summon from the depths a whole new accent as she mangled her lines.

“And I, for one, am tired about appearing about how a a two-bit union buster thinks of himself as more of a patriot than the woman who fights every single day to lift working people from under the boots of greed, trampling on our way of life,” Ocasio-Cortez bellowed, looking like a drug dealer who violated the sacred code of never getting high on your own supply.

It seems she meant to say “tired of hearing about…,” but the roomful of Democrats cheered wildly anyway, though they would prove again and again throughout the night that they were more jacked over the feels a speaker exhibited more so than the garbled lines being delivered.

Speaking of garbled lines, AOC also said this: “The good people of the Bronx and Queens chose someone like me to elect them in Congress.”

On the very same day the House Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means committees dropped a blistering report detailing how President Biden’s family and business associates received more than $27 million through foreign business deals while he was vice president, Ocasio-Cortez talked about Trump lining his pockets.

“Donald Trump would sell this country for $1 if it meant lining his own pockets and greasing the palms of his Wall Street friends,” the tone-death former bartender said.

Interestingly, Ocasio-Cortex pushed back online a few years ago when she was trashed for adopting a phony Spanish accent.

“Folks talking about my voice can step right off. Any kid who grew up in a distinct linguistic culture & had to learn to navigate class enviros at school/work knows what’s up. My Spanish is the same way.” AOC posted on X while playing the victim. “As much as the right wants to distort & deflect, I am from the Bronx. I act & talk like it, *especially* when I’m fired up and especially when I’m home. It is so hurtful to see how every aspect of my life is weaponized against me, yet somehow asserted as false at the same time.”
