After three weeks, it’s now obvious that there are no lengths that the media won’t go to when it comes to propagandizing on behalf of Kamala Harris, but one top outlet took covering for the alleged ditzy DEI veep to a new level.

In a piece that’s been savaged by social media users, the once-esteemed Associated Press explained why it’s not necessary for Harris, who has yet to hold a press conference since being swapped out with Joe Biden, to feel obligated to submit to questions from reporters.

“Meet the press? Hold that thought. The candidate sit-down interview ain’t what it used to be,” AP argued as questions continued to mount over why the Democratic party nominee hadn’t consented to an interview and instead has relied on a massive propaganda blitz to introduce herself to voters, not as a potential president but as a celebrity.

“That’s about to change, now that it has become a campaign issue. But for journalists, the larger lesson is that their role as presidential gatekeepers is probably diminishing forever,” wrote the author, explaining that Harris will soon have to break her radio silence but downplaying her need to do so in the future.

The AP served up a quote from failed GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s 2012 communications strategist who said that for campaign teams, “[T]he goal is to control the message as much as possible.”

“Interviews and news conferences take that control away. Candidates are at the mercy of questions that journalists raise — even if they try to change the subject. News outlets decide which answers are newsworthy and will be sliced and diced into soundbites that rocket around social networks, frequently devoid of the context in which they were uttered,” the article claims. “In such an environment, the value and perception of the sit-down interview has changed — for journalists and candidates alike.”

Such is the pathetic state of journalism in modern America.

“I’ve talked to my team. I want us to get an interview scheduled before the end of the month,” Harris told reporters in her brief non-answer in Michigan on Thursday.

“Only 88 days now until the most important election in our lifetime. Why won’t Kamala do a press conference and take questions?” Former President Donald J. Trump asked in a Friday Truth Social Post.
