President Joe Biden may have lost his fastball, so to speak, but he continues his long-established practice of creepy behavior around children.
The 81-year-old cognitively challenged president has not been seen much since being forced out of the presidential race by Democrat leaders, according to various reports. But he was quick to take advantage of an apparent feel-good moment that may help the party in November.
In what the media excitedly billed as “the biggest prisoner swap between Russia and the West since the Cold War,” the White House secured a prisoner exchange with Russia that resulted in the release of three Americans.
Appearing inside the State Dining Room at the White House after the deal was done, Biden stood next to the daughter of Alsu Kurmasheva, one of the freed prisoners. In noting that the young girl was turning 13 on Friday, the president led a rendition of Happy Birthday in a room filled with family members of the released Americans, pulling the child uncomfortably close to him as he sang.
He then offered this creepy advice after the awkward embrace, “No serious guys until you’re 30.”

The young girl was overwhelmed by all the sudden attention and was quickly reduced to tears, as might be expected at that age. She can be seen in the footage wiping tears from her eyes.
As for the prisoner exchange, Biden said negotiations had resulted in the release of 16 people, including five Germans and eight Russian citizens, in addition to the three Americans.
Considering what the U.S. gave up for U.S. Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl, it should come as no surprise that among the Russians freed was a suspected colonel in Russia’s GRU military intelligence services, and an alleged hitman for Russia’s FSB, who was jailed for life over the murder in a Berlin park of exiled Chechen-Georgian dissident Zelimkhan “Tornike” Khangoshvili.
(The FSB is seen as the main successor agency to the Soviet Union’s KGB.)
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on the social media platform X:
This is not normal behavior. Some might call it weird.
