The Democrat-controlled media is in full meltdown mode over former President Donald J. Trump’s remarks at a gathering of black journalists although Fox News’ Harris Faulkner had a much different take.
Trump was predictably accused of being a racist when he clashed with ABC’s rude reporter Rachel Scott and pointed out that VP Kamala Harris is a phony at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) annual convention in Chicago on Wednesday.
But according to Faulkner – who was one of the moderators – much of the black audience was “enjoying” Trump’s appearance at the event even though the media has focused on the ones who threw a temper tantrum.

Speaking with Fox News colleague Martha MacCallum live from the event, Faulkner reported the reality that the rest of the corrupt media won’t, telling her that many were pleased to have the Republican nominee as a guest.
“What the nation has seen is this incredible buildup with journalists here reportedly upset because Donald Trump was coming — some of them, and some of them we really hadn’t heard from,” she told MacCallum, referring to the black journos who were in the audience.
“So what I loved about what you couldn’t see today was how much of that audience was enjoying the moment of hearing from a candidate that they might not always agree with,” Faulkner said. “And that is the whole point. That is the growth of journalism to be able to listen and question those things that you may not know about because you don’t often talk to that person or those people. That was the goal here.”
“So for all of that pushback, young journalists that I’m talking to after the event are saying, ‘Well, we’re glad he’s here,’” she added.
One of those who protested the former president’s appearance at the NABJ convention was Washington Post columnist Karen Attiah, the event’s co-chair who stepped down in anger that the attendees would have a rare chance to hear from Trump without the usual dishonest media filter.
I have decided to step down as co- chair from this year’s #NABJ24 convention in Chicago.
To the journalists interviewing Trump, I wish them the best of luck.
For everyone else, I’m looking forward to meeting and reconnecting with all of you in the Windy City. #nabj

Other black media figures/Democratic Party shills also dumped their diapers over the invitation to Trump.
From 2017 NABJ JOURNALIST OF THE YEAR
The reports of attacks on Black women White House correspondents by the then president of the United States are not myth or conjecture, but fact. To have a presumed orchestrated session with the former president is an affront to what this…

Y’all just made the only safe haven that Black journalists have, potentially unsafe, all because y’all want to look “smarter than everybody else,” when this is….idiotic at best. https://t.co/Lxgu9jjYIl

Again, just go ahead and rescind the invitation. https://t.co/hCxg5aTNeM

“In terms of the audience shouting back and having some reaction to him, it was, it was chippy at times,” Faulkner added. “But for the most part, they were laughing, and they were getting kind of, kind of what they, they didn’t have before this, and that was a conduit to a man that they see a lot on TV, but don’t know a lot about his policies.”
