Leftists are in an uproar over former President Donald Trump agreeing that Vice President Kamala Harris’ Jewish husband is a “crappy Jew.”
Appearing on radio show host Sid Rosenberg’s program this Monday, Trump — the most pro-Israel president in American history — slammed Jews who vote for Democrats as “absolute fools.”
“If you are Jewish, regardless of Israel, if you’re Jewish, if you vote for a Democrat, you’re a fool, an absolute fool,” he said. “They have let Jewish people down since Obama at a level that nobody could believe possible.”
Agreeing with Trump, Rosenberg then turned their attention to Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, an ostensible Jew who’s also a raging Democrat.
“They tell me Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, is Jewish,” Rosenberg said in disbelief. “He’s Jewish like Bernie Sanders is Jewish. Are you kidding me? He’s a crappy Jew.”
“Yeah,” Trump concurred.
“He’s a horrible Jew,” Rosenberg continued, prompting another “yeah” from Trump.

The propaganda corporate press responded to the criticism by suggesting Emhoff should embrace the label as a positive thing.
“As the resident crappy Jew at this table, I would like to say that Doug Emhoff should wear this as a badge of honor,” CNN’s Catherine Rampell said late Tuesday. “You know? To be called a bad Jew by Donald Trump, like what higher praise could there be.”
“Spinoza was considered a bad Jew. Like, you know, Einstein was considered a bad Jew. That’s pretty good company to be in, however vile his comments may be, you know? Wear it as a badge of honor,” she added.

The insinuation was that Trump’s criticism of Emhoff and Democrats in general was wrong. But was it really?
Consider this: The whole drama over the “crappy Jew” discussion comes as “progressive” Democrats are in the process of launching a war against Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, a Jew.
Why a war? They desperately don’t want Harris to pick him as her running mate, even though he’d offer her the highest chance of being able to defeat Trump in the 2024 race.
And why, pray tell, don’t these Democrats want him as her running mate? Because he’s a Jew.

To be fair, they claim otherwise. In a public letter to Harris sent this week, the group of “progressive” Democrat leaders pointed to his sensible positions on school choice as the real deal breaker.
“Shapiro has become, more than anything else, known for his shortcomings as a national candidate,” they wrote. “His support for school vouchers is in direct conflict with our teachers unions allies and the Democratic Party Platform, threatening to undermine labor support.”
But are they to be believed? Probably not, especially when even Rep. Ritchie Torres, a Democrat himself, sees the writing on the wall.
Responding over the weekend via Twitter/X to a separate anti-Shapiro campaign by a group that calls itself “No Genocide Josh,” Torres blasted the “antisemitic far left.”
“Every potential nominee for Vice President is pro-Israel,” he tweeted. “Yet only one, Josh Shapiro, has been singled out by a far-left smear campaign calling him ‘Genocide Josh.’ The reason he is treated differently from the rest? Antisemitism.”
“The antisemitic far left must never be given veto power over the selection of a presidential running mate,” Torres added.

Others have also seen the light.
“[T]he unfortunate rise of antisemitism in this country (see: Shapiro) makes a Jewish presidential candidate a hard sell right now,” Pamela Paul wrote for the New York Times.
“[U]ntil about five minutes ago, everyone worried that the Democratic convention was going to be thrown into chaos over Gaza,” the Times’ Michelle Goldberg added. “A lot of those tensions have died down, in part because voters angry at Biden’s Israel policy are more comfortable with Harris, who is reported to be more sympathetic to the Palestinians.”
“Choosing Shapiro, who is ardently pro-Israel and outspoken in his condemnation of the recent campus protests, would rip those wounds open again,” she concluded.
