Drag queen Olympic torchbearer lashes out at critics: ‘WE AIN’T GOING NOWHERE’

One of the Olympic torchbearer drag queens is lashing out at critics of the opening ceremony.

Nicky Doll not only carried the torch but also performed during the opening ceremony which has been labeled by some as “demonic” and a “mockery” of Jesus. He made a story on his Instagram reveling in the negative attention the performance generated.

“The opening ceremony did ruffle some feathers… and I LOVE it,” the drag queen wrote. “You know why? Because the Olympics are the biggest stage in the world and us queer people have always been the audience of other people’s life and achievement and it is time that we are welcome in the space.”

“It was my absolute honor to perform in front of billions of people around the world, and celebrate our Olympians,” his post continued. “And remember, to the ones that had their feathers ruffled seeing queerness on their screen: WE AIN’T GOING NOWHERE.”

As BizPac Review reported, Olympic organizers finally acknowledged the outrage over the ceremony’s depiction of “The Last Supper” which included a reimagining of those present, replacing Jesus Christ and his apostles with “a fat lesbian and a gaggle of colorfully dressed drag queens.”

“Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group,” explained Anne Descamps, who blamed the sacrilegious depiction as an attempt to “celebrate community tolerance.”

“We believe this ambition was achieved. If people have taken any offense we are really sorry,” Descamps added in what amounted to a “sorry not sorry” style of apology.

Needless to say, neither Doll’s post nor the “apology” managed to sway those who were unhappy with the opening ceremony:

There lies the issue. If people wish to dress or act as they wish, it is liberty and I wish them well. But we live in a society where private intersects with public. And the Olympics are very public. The Olympics can do as they wish but I am under NO obligation to support that.
