Stephen King, Elon Musk spar with ‘dad joke’ competition after author throws down the gauntlet

Horror author Stephen King accidentally kicked off a dad joke competition on X, starting with Elon Musk.

Is there anything more eye-rollingly entertaining than the hilariously unfunny “dad” joke? The kind that you are violently embarrassed of as a teenager, but find yourself using later in life? King posted one to X, issuing what amounted to a challenge to the platform’s CEO Elon Musk.

“The Italian chef died. You could say he pasta-way. Can Elon tell jokes like that? I’m thinking no,” King tweeted.

Musk came back with some hilarious zingers of his own.
