Kamala: New face – Same thing

Op-ed views and opinions expressed are solely those of the author.

Joe Biden’s abrupt decision to not run for the office he insisted he was running for as recently as last week does not mean his policies, including mass unchecked migration, contempt for law enforcement and the deliberate fostering of racial animosity for the sake of political advantage aren’t still on the ballot.

Kamala Harris is merely the new face of the same old things.

Her record speaks for itself – though she will pretend otherwise for the next four months.

She was Biden’s designated “border czar” who for months contemptuously refused to even go to the southern border, to see the human tsunami crossing every single day. Probably because if she was seen seeing it, she might be called to account for having seen it – and having done nothing to stop it.

On July 22, the day she became the presumptive replacement for Biden at the head of the Democrat Party’s ticket, Senator Ted Cruz hammered Harris’ non-handling of the border crisis, awarding her a “negative 6,003” on a scale of 1 to 100.

“She has presided over the worst invasion of the United States of America in the history of our country; 11.5 million people,” Cruz told reporters. “And it’s deliberate,” he added. “She wanted this to happen. Joe Biden wanted this to happen.”

The why ought to be obvious.

Biden – and now Harris – want the country to be flooded with people from other counties in order to change this country. Their hope is that by inviting literally millions of people into the country whose political loyalty to the Democrat Party will be assured by offers of generous benefits – paid for by American citizens – these millions will reliably vote for more of the same.

Interestingly, this strategy is backfiring.

According to the Texas Tribune, “Cruz said open border policies supported by Biden and Harris are the reason why historically Democratic South Texas is shifting toward the Republican Party.”

The why for that also ought to be obvious. Many of those South Texans who have aligned with the Democrats are the sons and daughters of legal immigrants, who are beginning to resent the policies of the Democratic Party that are no longer in their interests.

This is good, but it does not change the bad intentions of the Democrats.

Nor the terrible effects.

This country is awash in Fentanyl, a deadly narcotic responsible for more deaths than the Vietnam War that has enjoyed open access to America courtesy of the Biden-Harris open border.

One of the cruelest ironies associated with this fact is that the Black Lives Matter riots triggered by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, MN were ultimately caused by the wide-open border that led to Floyd becoming a Fentanyl abuser – which very probably led to his death and the subsequent demonization of law enforcers and other first responders who must deal with drug abusers, in order to protect the rest of us from the consequences of their drug abuse.

It is very likely that had Floyd never become a Fentanyl abuser, he would be alive today – and the millions of dollars of damage caused by the Black Lives Matter riots would never have happened.

Kamala Harris did nothing to prevent that, either.

In fact, she (along with Biden) arguably egged it on by seeming to endorse what was going on. On Aug. 27, 2020, Harris said: “It’s no wonder people are taking to the streets and I support them. We must always defend peaceful protest and peaceful protestors.”

She went on to qualify this, saying:

“We should not confuse them with those looting and committing acts of violence” – but then let everyone know what she really meant by that by referencing “the shooter who was arrested for murder.”

That would be Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who had to resort to self-defense as he tried to run away from a pair of “mostly peaceful protestors” – one of whom was a convicted sex offender-  who were clearly trying to kill him, as established by video evidence.

“Make no mistake,” Harris said. “We will not let these vigilantes and extremists derail the path to justice.”

Luckily, a court found that the “vigilante” was acting in self-defense. But Harris regards self-defense as putatively criminal. Including when law enforcement acts in self-defense. Or even when a law enforcement officer is merely doing his job, as in the infamous case of the Border Patrol officer who was deliberately and maliciously portrayed by the Biden administration as horse-whipping a black man at the southern border.

In fact, the Border Patrol officer was using his whip to control his horse – and the Biden administration knew it but chose to foment race-hate at the expense of a law enforcement officer who was only trying to do what Biden – and Harris – don’t want done.

As Senator Cuz said the other day in Houston: “Kamala Harris has been in charge (of the border) and she deliberately produced this crisis, so sadly if she is president, the only reasonable expectation is this gets worse.”

To expect otherwise would be the same as the frog that offered the scorpion a ride on his back across the creek expecting not to get stung for his trouble – which is exactly what will happen to all of us if Biden’s sudden replacement ends up succeeding him in office.

The face may be different – but nothing will change.
