‘She has no shame’: Joy Behar says it’s ‘narcissistic’ of Trump to believe God played a part in saving his life

Trump derangement syndrome works in mysterious ways, as can be witnessed in multiple public meltdowns by media shills as momentum behind the former president soars.

Enter into the picture, “The View” longtime host, Joy Behar.

While the ladies of the ABC gabfest have become famous for spewing nonsense on the daily, Behar’s latest take was arguably all things desperate, stunning, and sad.

Topping off an electric week at the RNC the man of the moment, and official Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, took the stage and recalled the harrowing assassination attempt he endured just four days prior.

Trump praised the rally attendees who didn’t stampede to safety for their selflessness and courage. He unabashedly declared his love for them and recalled the worry he witnessed on their faces as he lay behind the podium and underneath his bodyguards.

This sight, he said, propelled his desire to stand and address the crowd to let them know that he was ok. That legendary move resulted in one of the most iconic moments of our time, with him yelling the words, “Fight! Fight! Fight!”

The former president continued to reveal his softer side with a deeply moving tribute to Corey Comperatore who was killed at the rally. At one point Trump walked over to the slain fireman’s uniform that was on display and kissed the helmet followed by a moment of silence. He also praised the other two men who were injured James Copenhaver, 74, and David Dutch, 57, and wished them a speedy recovery while announcing the large sums of money raised for all of their families.

Anyone with half a heart would be moved by Trump’s sincere gestures.

Then there’s Joy.

Behar attempted to flip the script on Friday and slammed Trump for being a ‘narcissist’ for praising God for saving his life.

As most of us know by now, it was a spontaneous and subtle head turn that denied the shooter’s bullet access to the former president’s skull. And while some folks might call that dumb luck, millions upon millions more believe there was a higher power involved.

So, Trump humbly gave God the credit with heartfelt thanks. But, Behar wasn’t having it.

“When something like this happens to you, like this assassination attempt, and you say soothing like ‘God is watching me’, that is a very un-Christian thing to say because it’s very narcissistic,” Behar chirped.

Going by Behar’s ‘logic’ because God does not save everyone from horrendous murders, he saves no one. Or at least, you’re not supposed to talk about it.

It didn’t take long for her comments to go viral on X where plenty of people chimed in:

That seems to be her story, and she’s probably sticking to it.

It’s likely Behar didn’t watch a whole lot of the RNC, but if she had watched Thursday night she would have been treated to one of the best speeches of the night from Detroit Pastor Sewell who spoke of Trump’s visit to the “hood” on his birthday when he could have been off celebrating in luxury. He also spoke of the “millimeter miracle” that took place on July 13, 2024, as can be seen below:

“Could it be that Jesus Christ preserved him for a time such as this?” he asked the crowd. “Could it be?”
