CNN commentator Scott Jennings was on air when word came down that his “childhood hero” would be speaking at the RNC. This, coupled with Amber Rose’s speech, led him to declare that the GOP is the “fun party now.”
CNN anchor Kate Bolduan interrupted the conversation with Jennings and Karen Finney to break the exciting news.
“It has been confirmed. I will now read it, and I will fully acknowledge I do not know why he is so excited, but I’m going to read it nonetheless because I like you. Sometimes,” she joked. “Hulk Hogan, according to Kristen Holmes with single source approval, Hulk Hogan will speak on the final night of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, according to a source familiar with the schedule. Why is this making your mind explode?”
“Well, first of all, it’s my childhood hero. I grew up watching Hulk Hogan. I think he’s super awesome,” Jennings responded with a smile.
“He’s so giddy! It’s really funny to watch,” Finney chuckled.
“And something about this convention — the Republicans have become the fun party. We had Amber Rose. We’ve got Hulk Hogan,” Jennings continued, to the disapproval of Bolduan and Finney.
“Karen is saying your definition of ‘fun’ is slightly different,” Bolduan said.
“We’re the fun party now! And whatchu gonna do, brother, when the largest arms in the world encourage you to get your ballot in in a timely fashion?” Jenning laughed.
