Biden’s cryptic, bizarre tweet just before testing positive for COVID has everyone talking

President Joe Biden issued a bizarre tweet following an announcement that he has COVID, and X users had a field day.

As he fights calls to drop out of the presidential race from within his own party, Biden revealed on Wednesday he is also fighting COVID and was forced to cancel a speech in Las Vegas. He will be isolating in Delaware and was not wearing a mask as he boarded Air Force One.

“I tested positive for COVID-19 this afternoon, but I am feeling good and thank everyone for the well wishes,” the message reads. “I will be isolating as I recover, and during this time I will continue to work to get the job done for the American people.”

But while ‘President Biden’ was giving the official announcement, the ‘Joe Biden’ X account was tweeting something much stranger.

“I’m sick,” the tweet simply read.

An immediate follow-up tweet said: “of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election” with a link to ActBlue where you can donate to Biden to “defeat” former President Donald Trump.

The bizarre message came shortly after an interview with Ed Gordon of BET News, in which Biden claimed the only thing that would make him leave the race would be a doctor’s advice.

“If I had some medical condition that emerged, if somebody, if doctors came to me and said, you got this problem and that problem,” the president said.

Apparently not even the many requests of his colleagues, who care for Biden but don’t think he’s in any shape to continue his presidency, can deter him from his quest for a second term.

On the same day Biden announced he was positive, an AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll was released revealing a large number of Democrats agreed that he should drop out. Approximately 65% of Dems believe that his time is over, while only 3 in 10 are confident that he has the cognitive capacity to lead the United States. These numbers appear to undermine the president’s claim that only the “elite” want to push him out of the race, while “average” voters want him to stay in.

Needless to say, social media users were quick to jump on the president’s odd tweet:
