Team Biden has apparently decided the best way to deal with the swirling concerns about President Joe Biden’s mental acuity is to have the 81-year-old cognitively challenged president laugh in the face of his tormenters.
Meanwhile, Biden is doing little to dissuade these concerns, as seen on Thursday when he accidentally introduced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as “President Putin” while speaking at the NATO summit in Washington — the gaffe coming before his so-called “Big Boy press conference.”
“Now I want to hand it over to the President of Ukraine, who has as much courage as he has determination, ladies and gentlemen, President Putin,” Biden said, before scrambling to clean up his mistake. “President Putin? He’s going to beat President Putin. President Zelenskyy. I’m so focused on beating Putin, we’ve gotta worry about it.”
The look on Zelenskyy’s face was priceless but even more priceless is that the Biden campaign saw fit to boost the embarrassing blunder:

At his press conference, the flub was brought up in a stinging question about whether Biden’s decline is “damaging for America’s standing in the world” — the question posed by a foreign reporter, of course.
“I want to talk to you about your mixing up President Zelenskyy and Putin earlier today,” the reporter began, as Biden suddenly burst out in laughter. “You now have sort of your key allies, including the British prime minister, the prime minister of France, the German chancellor having to step in and make excuses for you on that. Officials off the record here are saying that your decline is becoming noticeable. Hasn’t this now, frankly, become damaging for America’s standing in the world?”
“Did you see any damage to our standing in my leading this conference?” Biden replied while slurring his words. “Have you seen a more successful conference? What do you think?”
After explaining what led up to the mix-up, the president would lose his train of thought after attempting to make a point, “Look folks, this is, uh… well, anyway.”

Sadly the Zelenskyy blunder wasn’t the only one for Biden on Thursday. At another point, he would call Vice President Kamala Harris “Vice President Trump.”

Social media had a field day with the latest displays from a geriatric Joe Biden that his age has caught up to him… here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
My main takeaway from this press conference is that President Biden and Vice President Trump have done a marvelous job supporting President Putin of Ukraine.
