AP dragged for ‘fundamentally dishonest’ reporting of raped 12-yr-old girl

The Associated Press came under fire this week for its reporting on the death of a 12-year-old Houston girl whose body was found in a creek.

Two illegal immigrants were arrested and charged with capital murder for the death of Joselyn, who investigators with the Houston Police Department say was raped and strangled to death after she had sneaked out of her home the night before.

The AP headline read: “2 men arrested in strangulation of 12-year-old Houston girl whose body was found in a creek,” and the article identified the vermin as Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26.

What the news agency didn’t report is that they are both illegal immigrants from Venezuela and that one of them “crossed the border illegally less than a month before the shocking murder,” according to the New York Post.

Citing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sources, the Post reported that Ramos crossed into El Paso, Texas, on May 28 and was released soon after his interaction with border agents. He reportedly claimed that he feared for his life if he was sent back to his home country — this being the coaching illegal immigrants receive from a host of nonprofit organizations that help migrants game the system. They are taxpayer-funded NPOs in many cases.

Martinez crossed the border at El Paso on March 14, taking all of three months to find himself arrested for the murder of a 12-year-old child.

As Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, a go-to source on the border, noted in a tweet, media outlets across the country, including many newspapers, rely on AP wires to cover stories like this.

With a growing number of cases involving illegal immigrants, including the rape and murder of Rachel Morin, the mother of five, and the rape of a 13-year-old girl in New York City, the impact of a wide-open southern border under President Joe Biden has the very real potential to impact the November election — but for the media.

As proven in the 2020 election with Hunter Biden’s laptop, the U.S. media is not above censoring content they deem to be potentially harmful to Joe Biden.

Donald Trump once referred to the media as the “enemy of the people,” resulting in many in the industry getting on their moral high horse to condemn him. But it’s difficult to condone AP’s actions here.
