Trump struggles with tech issues at Las Vegas rally, blasts contractors out loud for ‘sh*tty job’

Former President Donald Trump had no issue with calling out the crew that set up his rally Sunday in Las Vegas after experiencing teleprompter and sound issues.

The presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee drew another massive crowd, and while the atmosphere was reportedly full of excitement, Trump was struggling with his teleprompter and would later suggest that he would not pay contractors who do a “sh*tty job.”

“I got no teleprompters,” Trump told the crowd. “And I haven’t from the beginning.”

“You know, I pay all this money to teleprompter people, and I’d say 20 percent of the time they don’t work. They don’t work. The thing is waving around – they can’t tie it a little bit tighter… so, we’re all in this together everybody. We’re all in this together, it’s a mess,” he added.

Interestingly, the Biden campaign saw this as fodder and was quick to share a clip of his remarks but ended up getting owned.

Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung responded with this zinger: “President Trump went for over an hour with no teleprompter. Crooked Joe Biden can barely stay awake that long and can only dream of giving a speech like that, because he’s weak, frail, and brain dead.”

Trump would later complain that the microphone volume was too low.

“Tell them to make the microphone louder,” he said. “It’s terrible! … Are the teleprompters not working? Not even a little bit. Great job!”

“And then I don’t pay the company that does it, right?” Trump added. “And then I end up with a story, ‘Trump doesn’t pay.’ I don’t pay contractors that do a sh*tty job. And that’s a sh*tty job! That’s a sh*tty job! You can’t read a word.”

Again, the Biden campaign elevated his remarks, claiming Trump “brags about stiffing workers.”

Team Biden cut the clip before the former president added, “But you know what? It usually ends up that the speech is better, it’s crazy. Then they’ll say, ‘Oh, isn’t it terrible? Trump takes advantage of his [contractors].’ No. I take great — when I have a good contractor, a subcontractor, nobody gets paid faster. But when I have contractors that do this kind of work? You can have them.”

Nonetheless, the rally ended on a positive note with Trump dancing his way off stage, as seen on the clip below:
