Trump sham trial verdict brings out strong reactions

As any rational person expected, former President Donald J. Trump was convicted of a non-existent crime in a kangaroo court by a jury that was guaranteed to deliver a guilty verdict.

The verdict came down on Thursday afternoon, perfectly timed for the evening news cycle, sending leftists into jubilant celebration even though in their unthinking blind hatred for the presumptive GOP nominee, they have now turned him into a martyr.

“This was a disgrace. This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt as a rigged trial and disgrace. It wouldn’t give us a venue change,” Trump said after the verdict. “We were at five percent or 6 percent in this district, in this area. This was a rigged, disgraceful trial.”

Stating that “the real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people,” the former president added. “And they know what happened here and everybody knows what happened here…you have a Soros-backed DA and the whole thing.”

“This decision is a disgrace to the rule of law and our Constitution,” said Sen. J.D. Vance, a potential Trump running mate. “Dems invented a felony to “get Trump,” with the help of a Soros funded prosecutor and a Biden donor Judge, who rigged the entire case to get this outcome. This isn’t justice, it’s election interference.”

“Today’s verdict represents the culmination of a legal process that has been bent to the political will of the actors involved: a leftist prosecutor, a partisan judge and a jury reflective of one of the most liberal enclaves in America—all in an effort to ‘get’ Donald Trump,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis wrote on X.

“The Democratic Party’s strategy is to beat President Trump in the courtroom rather than the ballot box. This will backfire in November. Even worse, it is profoundly undemocratic,” wrote third party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “America deserves a President who can win at the ballot box without compromising our government’s separation of powers or weaponizing the courts. You can’t save democracy by destroying it first.”

“The only thing more 3rd-world than the NY courtroom was the sham trial that played out inside: second-rate judge, third-rate prosecutors, fourth-rate “star” witness. The judge specifically instructed the jury that they *didn’t have to agree on the crime* to convict. Shameful,” wrote former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

“Import the Third World, become the Third World. That’s what we just saw. This won’t stop Trump. He’ll win the election if he’s not killed first. But it does mark the end of the fairest justice system in the world. Anyone who defends this verdict is a danger to you and your family,” Tucker Carlson said, noting that there is a possibility that Trump won’t make it to the election.

Billionaire X owner Elon Musk pointed out that “great damage was done today to the public’s faith in the American legal system. If a former President can be criminally convicted over such a trivial matter – motivated by politics, rather than justice – then anyone is at risk of a similar fate.”

“In Manhattan, we follow the facts without fear or favor and have a solemn responsibility to ensure equal justice under the law regardless of the background, wealth, or power of the accused. The integrity of our judicial system depends on upholding that principle,” said Soros-backed Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg in a statement, proud of his work in helping to transform the judicial system into that of a corrupt banana republic.

“In New York today, we saw that no one is above the law,” the Biden-Harris campaign said in a statement. “Donald Trump has always mistakenly believed he would never face consequences for breaking the law for his own personal gain.”

The verdict was met with many stunning reactions.

Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, one of the few Republicans who is beloved by the media, may have torched his political career when he validated the verdict, a major self-inflicted wound to his Senate campaign.

Longtime grievance grifter and MSNBC host the Rev. Al Sharpton admitted that much of the persecution of Trump was always about race revenge, invoking the “Central Park Five” in his statement on the verdict.

Warmongering former national security adviser John Bolton who was fired by Trump used the verdict to lobby for the GOP to dump Trump, an apparent endorsement of Nikki Haley.

There were also champagne corks popping in Hollywood over the travesty of justice.

“It’s as it should be. Justice has been served. That’s it,” unhinged faux tough guy Robert De Niro told the New York Post.

Embittered sore loser Hillary Clinton couldn’t have been happier, wasting little time in gloating. “Anything going on today?” Clinton asked a cheering audience at the Vital Voices Global Festival in Washington.

President Joe Biden refrained from personally addressing the nation on the verdict as he reportedly was planning to do, a move that would be typically crass and undignified for the divisive leader.

Now that the legal lynching has been completed, the gag order imposed on Trump by partisan Judge Juan Merchan is no longer in effect and he will have plenty to say at a Friday morning news conference.
