Trump sends Melania birthday wishes from New York with a courthouse zinger

President Donald Trump wasn’t allowed to attend his son Barron’s high school graduation, and now he won’t be able to spend quality time with his wife, Melania, on her 54th birthday.

Needless to say, Trump is none too happy about it.

Never missing an opportunity to take advantage of the press and jab his political enemies, the former president took a moment to wish his wife, who is in Florida, a happy birthday.

“I want to start by wishing my wife Melania a very happy birthday,” he said outside the courthouse in New York City.

Then came the zinger.

“It would be nice to be with her, but I’m in a courthouse for a rigged trial.”

Trump is currently enduring a lengthy court battle over alleged ‘hush money’ payments. Trump and his supporters say the allegations are largely fabricated as part of a larger election interference campaign. Meanwhile, the former president has made the best of his situation by visiting different parts of the Big Apple where he’s been met with throngs of adoring fans and cheers of patriotic support.

Last week New Yorkers lined the streets of Harlem to get a glimpse of the man they say they want back in the Oval Office. Yesterday, Trump was met with overwhelming gratitude from NYC union workers and laborers who say they’ve been pushed out of the Democrat Party.

It’s no wonder Trump’s birthday message to Melania generated numerous well wishes and tributes for the glamourous former first lady came pouring in:
