‘Deplorable’ moment profanity-spewing student slaps female teacher TWICE captured on video

Smartphones are allowing America to see the carnage in public school classrooms and help explain the urgency for many parents to seek school choice alternatives to protect their children

Disturbing videos of students being beaten and bullies are common, as are videos of teachers being assaulted. But few are as appalling as a video out of North Carolina making the rounds this week.

In the footage, taken Monday at Parkland High School in North Salem, a black teen wearing a hoodie over his head is seen viciously slapping what appears to be a white, middle-aged female teacher as she sits in a chair — according to unconfirmed reports, the teacher allegedly “took his vape.”

The teacher remains sitting and shows no reaction to being assaulted, other than saying, “Do you think that affected me any?”

After spewing a few profanities, the student began taunting the teacher by repeatedly asking, “Do you want me to hit you again?” When the teacher replied that she did not “want it,” the student slapped her hard across her face a second time, knocking her glasses off.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Tuesday that a juvenile judge issued a secure custody order after the teen was charged with Assault on a Government Official and Communicating Threats. The NC Beat reported that means the teen will be held in a juvenile detention facility.

“On Monday, April 15, 2024, at Parkland High School, a student was filmed assaulting an educator. April 16, 2024 Juvenile Justice issued a Secure Custody Order for one (1) count of Communicating Threats (NCGS 14 277.1) and two (2) counts Misdemeanor Assault (NCGS 14 33(C)(4)). No further information will be released as the involved individual is a juvenile,” the FCSO said.

“While we all agree that this incident was deplorable and outrageous to the community, and community organizations. All of us should be outraged when those who educate us can be assaulted. We should hold those who teach and educate our children to the highest regard,” Sheriff Bobby F. Kimbrough Jr. said. “Our hope and our prayer at the FCSO, is that we recognize, that we as a community, must bring order not only to our community but our children. We are praying for wholeness for those students who witnessed this and the educator involved.

“Thank you to all who have given their support, and a special thanks Mr. Jim O’Niell of the District Attorney’s office. The office of the people, is committed to the safety of our teachers, this community, and all that dwell and work in Forsyth County.”

Equally troubling is a report that the principal released a statement asking people not to share the disturbing video.
