Billionaire Mark Cuban appears to have an affinity for getting beat down on social media, as seen on Monday when he panned former President Donald Trump’s tax cuts while seemingly endorsing the idea that President Biden is using tax dollars to buy votes — the latter feat came as he criticized the former president for not raising taxes during the pandemic.

With Tax Day fast approaching, the minority owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks got into an online dustup with OutKick writer Ian Miller after blasting the tax cuts in a tweet:

Miller responded by running with the left’s favorite talking point about billionaires paying their fair share.

“Hey Mark just wondering if you or your corporations pay more than the required taxes in order to pay your fair share, thanks so much,” he wrote.

Cuban seemed to miss the irony in his reply that he pays what he owes — minus some hefty work by his army of tax lawyers to exploit exiting loopholes, no doubt — while taking a pot shot at Trump.

“I pay what I owe. Tomorrow I will wire transfer to the IRS $288,000,000.00,” he tweeted. “This country has done so much for me, I’m proud to pay my taxes every single year. Tag a former president that you know doesn’t.”

Miller cleverly countered, “So why don’t you and your companies pay more than what you owe in order to fix the injustice of the Trump tax cuts?”

The prospect of paying more appeared to squash Cuban’s interest in furthering the discussion.

Interestingly, the man who said he’d vote for 81-year-old President Joe Biden over Donald Trump even if Biden was on his deathbed claimed he was neither left or right in a follow up to Miller pointing out the hate he was being hit with over their exchange – Cuban said last week: “If they were having his last wake, and it was him versus Trump, and he was being given last rites, I would still vote for Joe Biden.”
