Don Lemon marries white boyfriend; guest list from hell features Alec Baldwin, Matt Lauer, Jeff Zucker

Don Lemon tied the knot on Saturday, and, not surprisingly, the guest list raised some eyebrows on social media.

For starters, Lemon and his longtime partner, real estate broker Tim Malone, were pronounced husband and husband by the United States ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, according to People.

“She’s a friend,” Lemon said, “and it means that much to us.”

The intimate ceremony, attended by roughly 140 guests, was held at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in midtown Manhattan.

“Alleged sex pest broadcaster Matt Lauer, fired CNN boss Jeff Zucker and accused killer Alec Baldwin were among the illustrious attendees,” the Daily Mail reports.

“Oh, isn’t that just lovely? Don Lemon and Tim Malone got married, and all the disgraced stars came out to celebrate,” wrote one user on X. “Because nothing says ‘happy wedding’ like having Matt Lauer and Alec Baldwin in attendance. I’m sure they had some great stories to share about how they destroyed their careers with their toxic behavior.”

“Matt Lauer, who was fired from his role as host of Today by NBC over sexual misconduct allegations in 2017 was seen arriving hand in hand with girlfriend Shamin Abas,” according to the Daily Mail. “Lemon’s old CNN boss Jeff Zucker was also in attendance, along with girlfriend Allison Gollust, his former subordinate who he was sacked for having a relationship with.”

And if that wasn’t enough to make folks cringe, Vice President Kamala Harris called to wish the couple a “marriage full of love, laughter and good food.”

“We look up to you,” Lemon told the veep, adding that her relationship with husband Doug Emhoff  are their “couple goals.”

It’s a goal the newlyweds are clearly committed to achieving.

The two dressed up as Harris and Emhoff for Halloween.

According to People, when planning the wedding, “Tradition was important to the grooms right from the start.”

“Malone was raised in a Catholic family and Lemon’s family is Baptist,” the outlet reports, “so the news anchor knew he ‘wanted to have a religious service.'”

“I wanted to get married in the church,” Lemon said. “So Tim made that happen.”

It was the vows that concerned the never-tactful Lemon.

“I have not been nervous about anything except writing the vows,” Lemon told People. “We are saying our own personal vows and then we’re doing the traditional wedding ceremony vows.”
