‘Bullies lose’: LSU women’s basketball team LEAVES court ahead of national anthem

In a rematch of last year’s NCAA women’s basketball championship game, the reigning champion LSU Tigers were facing the Iowa Jayhawks. However, the LSU team did not act much like champs when it decided to leave the court during the national anthem.

Video footage shows the Iowa players holding hands in a show of solidarity during the rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” but the LSU side of the court was empty.

LSU head coach Kim Mulkey shrugged off the team not being on the court for the national anthem, claiming they were going through their typical pregame “routine.”

Fittingly, in the eyes of many who love their country, LSU got spanked in the game losing 97-84. Iowa star Caitlin Clark, widely seen as the top collegiate player, scorched the Tigers with 41 points and 12 assists along with seven rebounds and two steals.

LSU star player Angel Reese was caught up in playing the victim after the game.

“I just try to stay strong,” she said at a post-game press conference. “I’ve been through so much. I’ve seen so much. I’ve been attacked so many times. Death threats, I’ve been sexualized, I’ve been threatened. I’ve been so many things, and I’ve stood strong every single time.

“… I’m still human. All this has happened since I won the national championship, and I said the other day, I haven’t been happy since then.”

For what it’s worth, Reese has posed for Sports Illustrated while rocking a skimpy bikini and posts photos of herself wearing bikinis on social media.

After last year’s game, Reese drew plenty of scorn for taunting Clark — the Iowa star did not return the favor this year. Reese would also temporarily reject an invitation to the White House from First Lady Jill Biden, who broke with tradition last year when she suggested the losing Iowa team should also visit.
