“Eradicating” Marxism a meaningful objective

With Senator, Marco Rubio’s scathing 2022 CPAC assessment of Marxism, a century-old specter returned in vivid clarity.

Perhaps we got lazy after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Maybe we expected the ideology of Karl Marx to simply go away. A review of former Idaho Congressman, Curtis Bower’s 2011 documentary, “Agenda-Grinding America Down,” provided a long overdue wakeup call.

Bowers spoke of “crashing” a Communist rally in Oakland during his college days. Expecting the attendees to be reminiscent of 1960’s vintage hippies, he was surprised to see “grandmas and grandpas wearing suits, carrying briefcases.’ It demonstrated our overall ignorance of “who” that we’re up against.

Recognizing the “Wolf in Sheep’s Skin”

Rubio sees a battle on multiple fronts. Exacerbating the problem is the ability to differentiate modern-day Progressivism from 20th-century Marxism. “There are many people who are Marxists who don’t even know that they are Marxists. “Rubio explained. “In their minds, they know what is good and what is right.”

Including what should be taught in both our public schools and our institutions of higher learning. As parents, we should be concerned at how cagily cunning our adversaries have been. They have systematically transformed our colleges and universities into Marxist training enclaves. Rubio referenced this hidden ugliness that Democrats and Neo-cons quietly ignore: “That conservative students are often punished with a bad grade or even failure”  when calling out a distinction that might depart from the accepted narrative. In many cases, a distinction cited several years past can and will be recounted to their detriment.

For the Florida Senator, it’s personal. Although born in Miami, he grew up in a community where most of the people his senior had experienced Fidel Castro, the lies, debauchery, and trickery of Marxism. Ingrained in him is the beauty and bounty of that lost world and with it, the lust to recover, revive and rejuvenate. While attending the University of Miami’s School of Law, Rubio wrote a memorable essay that manifested his and other Cuban’s dream of a free and Democratic Cuba.

A Charismatic Crusader

To label Marco Rubio as a “crusader against Communism” would be an understatement. He has seen the beast firsthand, through the wistful eyes of ruined lives. In his mind, recovery of the island would amount to a life-defining feat. Conservatives should take note! The unquenchable exuberance held by Rubio for both recovery of his ancestorial homeland and the ultimate expungement of Marxism from the planet, make him both a safe and potent bet for the VP nod. No doubt Donald Trump is taking a long look at Rubio.

The Trump children have indicated the need for a “fighter” to fill the number two slot. At first glance, eyes fall on Vivek Ramaswamy or Ron DeSantis. The second won’t happen, even though it would have been deemed the logical progression for the Florida Governor. That was before his ill fated run against Trump in the primary. Ramaswamy has all the makings of a future leader in the Republican party. He certainly has the intellectual prowess! Smart money predicts that he will be a player in a big way. A top-level cabinet appointment including the Secretary of State is highly possible.

Trish Regan predicts Trump may opt for a “left field” selection, such as New York’s, Lee Zeldin. Zeldin’s close loss in the state’s gubernatorial race and “his known fundraising ability might put the Empire State in play,” according to Regan. There are those who still mention Tim Scott and Kristi Noem as contenders. Even Sarah Huckabee, Tulsi Gabbard and Elise Stefanick have not been ruled out.

Why Rubio Wins on Points

Rubio and Trump share a disdain for former New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie. Through deeper examination, the link is Stuart Stevens who successfully managed Christie’s, Mitt Romney’s and former Florida Governor, Charlie Crist’s campaigns. Rumored is that Romney wanted Rubio for his running mate, but switched to Paul Ryan when Rubio told him blatantly that he “didn’t trust” Stevens.

Rubio is acceptable to most Neocons. Texas Senator, John Cornyn had initially said that Tim Scott would be Trump’s ideal choice. Rubio will work for Cornyn, John Thune, Lindsey Graham, Joni Earnst, John Barrasso and the guts of the Republican establishment. He is acceptable to conservatives, Ted Cruz, Rick Scott and Mike Lee. His deep foreign policy experience in his 15 years in the U.S. Senate is a major plus.

Rubio will attract white-collar males to the ticket. He can’t do anything but help with already red-trending Latinos. Latinas especially might vote GOP for the first time. Black men generally like Marco. Ditto with Asians and first-generation Americans!

Former Florida Governor, Jeb Bush called Marco Rubio “a gifted orator, perhaps the best I have seen.” I witnessed personally his 105-minute; 2010 speech given in a West Palm Beach TGI Fridays. Without notes! I can only imagine Rubio squaring off against Kamala Harris in the Vice-Presidential debate! Important to note! The thought that will be on everybody’s mind:

“If either of these old men (Biden or Trump) were to kick the bucket, who would I feel the most comfortable taking the reins?”

“Kamala or Marco?”

Does put things into perspective.
