Vanderbilt Univ. protest upended when 911 call goes out for tampon emergency, and that’s not the worst of it

A 21.5 hour sit-in protest by Vanderbilt University students fell by the wayside this week thanks to a certain tampon fiasco.

According to The Free Press, the protesting Vanderbilt students were upset that the school shut down “a student government vote over whether the school should divest funds from Israel.”

And so in response, the students reportedly rushed Kirkland Hall, where the school’s chancellor’s office is located, and began a lengthy sit-down that lasted approximately 21.5 hours.

All was well until panic began to set in because one of the protesters needed to change her tampon but was allegedly being denied.

So what did the students do? They called 911.

The student with the tampon is “being denied the right to change her tampon that has been in for multiple hours, which leads to an increased risk of toxic shock syndrome,” another student told the 911 operator.

“If she stands up to use the restroom to change her tampon, they are threatening arrest,” the student added.

The 911 operator was understandably confused and asked, “Ma’am, do YOU have an emergency?”

The student responded by explaining that the emergency involved somebody else — the girl with the tampon.

“So you’re telling me your friend in Kirkland needs an ambulance. Is that what you’re telling me?” the 911 operator responded.

The clip then ended.

The video on the right meanwhile showed some of the students asking the police for confirmation that the tampon girl wouldn’t be arrested if she got up from the sit-in to go and change her tampon.

Repeatedly the police told the belligerent students that the tampon girl wouldn’t be interested if she left, but they refused to listen.

“She does not feel safe!” one of them exclaimed at one point.

Responding to all this later on social media, many critics wondered how the hell these toddler-like children ever got into college in the first place.

The tampon incident isn’t even the worst of it.

During the sit-in protest, the students — most of them white — also heckled a black police officer for not standing with them, the allegedly “marginalized.” FYI, tuition at Vanderbilt cost $60,000+ as of 2022/2023.

“The police officers are standing by like puppets. Puppets! Shame on you! You’re protecting a terrible man! I hope you know that. And a coward too. An absolute coward who’s aiding and abetting an actual genocide,” the protesting punks collectively said.

“Thirty-thousand people are being killed, sir. Show your compassion. Show your morality. What if it was your kids? It will be your kids! Is a job worth it, sir? And you’re black, sir. We’re already dealing with this. 32,000 dead and you don’t care,” they added.

“You could stand with us right now and be on the right side of history, but you don’t. Shame on you! Shame! You’re black in America, and you’re not standing with the marginalized people of the world. What does that make you? A coward,” they continued.

The students also threw a fit when school administrators brought food for the police officers but not the protesting students.

The students stunningly claimed not being provided free food amounted to a human rights abuse.
