Nancy Mace details ‘barrage’ of threats since ABC’s Stephanopoulos tried to ‘shame’ her as a rape victim

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) has been receiving threats since her heated interview on ABC’s “This Week” last Sunday where host George Stephanopoulos tried to rape shame her.

The congresswoman was the victim of a typical sleazy left-wing ambush when the longtime Clinton family lickspittle tried to turn her experience as a rape survivor against her on national television as an avenue of attack on presumptive GOP nominee Donald J. Trump.

Mace called out the smug propagandist during the contentious interview, making headlines and in the minds of some, a fair target for their abuse which included a “barrage” of threats, including rape and murder.

“Last night I received a serious threat and the individual is now in custody. Our family wants to thank law enforcement for acting quickly,” Mace said in a video shared to X on Saturday. “Since the ABC News interview where George Stephanopolous rape shamed me – we’ve received a barrage of threatening messages and calls from all around the country – all week.”

“This individual threatened to rape me, then kill me, and murder members of my family,” the conservative lawmaker said.
“God bless our law enforcement who keep us all safe. And thank you for acting swiftly.”

During their interview, Stephanopoulos – who has defended his old boss Bill Clinton by smearing women who accused him of rape – used the defamation lawsuit by columnist E. Jean Carroll who accused Trump of raping her despite no evidence – to shame her over her support for the former president.

“I was raped at the age of 16. And any rape victim will tell you I’ve lived for 30 years with an incredible amount of shame over being raped,” she told the host. “It’s a shame that you will never feel, George. And I’m not gonna sit here on your show and be asked a question meant to shame me about another potential rape victim. I’m not gonna do that.”

It was truly despicable but par for the course for Stephanopoulos.

I’m not going to be shamed for being raped by a guy who worked for a President who wagged his finger and lied to the American people about having oral sex with an intern in the Oval Office…,” she wrote on X after the interview.
