The corrupt media may have gone to the hole on the Trump-Hitler scam one too many times with the latest story by CNN falling flat which greatly disappointed Anderson Cooper.

New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman consoled the dejected multimillionaire anchor over the lack of traction that the network’s scoop featuring remarks by former White House chief of Staff John Kelly who claimed that the former president was enamored with Der Führer.

In the CNN story by Jim Sciutto, the retired Marine Corps general claimed that Trump made complimentary comments about Hitler, but in an overly saturated market for such tripe, the smear failed to get off the launching pad which the star anchor whined about during last week’s primary election coverage.

“It is also just so bizarre, you think about John Kelly telling Jim Sciutto, about the Hitler comments, and you know Hitler did some good things according to John Kelly, that’s what the former President said,” the visibly stunned Cooper remarked. “It didn’t, nobody seemed to care, I mean, in any other time, this would have been just unbelievable.”

The left-wing reporter, who has been affectionately dubbed “Maggot” Haberman by Trump tried to console the reptilian propagandist.

“There’s an enormous…a couple of things, I would say about that,” she said, explaining that CNN’s big story was just more of the same recycled garbage. “There’s been an enormous volume of information, about things that Donald Trump said as president, things that he said in his past.”

“We have talked about it here. We’ve written about it at the New York Times. That piece of information actually first appeared in a book, by my colleague, Mike Bender,” she continued, referring to the book “Frankly, We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story of How Trump Lost,” which was published in 2021.

“And so, some of these things have been around so long that I actually think that the public has gotten almost numb to them,” she said. “And I think that that is, for people who don’t like the former President, that is part of their challenge.”

“If you look back at the reporting, around the Mueller report, and we wrote about this at the time, there was so much reporting that went into this investigation, and what was happening with that investigation, that the public sort of heard a lot of it along the way so, by the time the actual report came out, there wasn’t a ton new that the public was learning,” she added, suggesting that the propaganda can have diminishing effects over time.

“And that seems to be the case here. I think the public has tuned a lot of it out. They may not, in the fall, and I think that’s what we’re going to, we’re going to see,” she said, seeming to admit that nobody believes the media anymore.

The Sciutto story which comes as he’s trying to sell a book cites Kelly, a disgruntled former employee, who has frequently criticized his ex-boss.

“He said, ‘Well, but Hitler did some good things.’ I said, ‘Well, what?’ And he said, ‘Well, [Hitler] rebuilt the economy.’ But what did he do with that rebuilt economy? He turned it against his own people and against the world. And I said, ‘Sir, you can never say anything good about the guy. Nothing,’” Kelly recounted. “I mean, Mussolini was a great guy in comparison,” wrote Sciutto.

Like other former Trump aides, the truthfulness of Kelly’s remarks are questionable, especially since he has repeatedly claimed that the pro-military Trump has referred to American servicemen as “suckers” and “losers” which Trump has denied.

There is a reason why the media has lost all credibility in the eyes of millions, and Haberman seems to be coming around to that simple fact despite her own complicity in the decline of public trust in the journalistic profession.
