Jeopardy fans vow to quit watching after nonsensical ‘xem, xyrs, xemself’ pronouns question

Not even Jeopardy is a safe space from the pervasive left-wing social indoctrination that has taken root in America.

Some fans of the long-running game show reacted negatively over a clue to the category titled “Speech! Parts of Speech!,” which was chosen by a contestant during an episode earlier this week involving the pronouns that mentally fragile leftists insist must be used when referring to them.

In a video of the clue that was posted to the X platform where it has since gone viral, Jeopardy host Ken Jennings reads the clue to the $600 question, “xem, xyrs, xemself,” nonsensical terms that were nonetheless immediately recognized by the contestant as pronouns.

“Those are pronouns, neopronouns,” he answered. With the prefix “neo” meaning new, Neopronouns are descriptors by the “woke” language commissars that allow for pronouns to be used without expressions of gender.

Jennings quickly moved on to the next question, but the creeping of the cultural revolution into even the beloved quiz show left many seething, and they vented on social media.

Others lamented the show’s direction since the death of longtime host Alex Trebek who passed away in 2020.

According to the New York Times: “A neopronoun can be a word created to serve as a pronoun without expressing gender, like ‘ze’ and ‘zir.’ A neopronoun can also be a so-called ‘noun-self pronoun,’ in which a pre-existing word is drafted into use as a pronoun.”

“Noun-self pronouns can refer to animals — so your pronouns can be ‘bun/bunself’ and ‘kitten/kittenself.’ Others refer to fantasy characters — ‘vamp/vampself,’ ‘prin/cess/princesself,’ ‘fae/faer/faeself’ — or even just common slang, like ‘Innit/Innits/Innitself,'” explained the once-venerable newspaper of record in its guide to pronouns.
