Gavin Newsom gives Nikki Haley her props: ‘She’s one of our better surrogates’

It’s probably reasonably safe to now describe former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley as a tool of the Democratic party when she’s getting props from the likes of Gavin Newsom.

Regardless of what happens in her home state primary on Saturday, the last remaining GOP presidential candidate not named Donald J. Trump will continue her campaign through at least Super Tuesday and perhaps well beyond for as long as the money keeps rolling in.

The California governor said openly what many conservatives have long suspected, that the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations is only staying in the race to force Trump and the RNC to squander precious resources that could be instead directed at Joe Biden.

The Sacramento slickster appeared on Friday’s edition of “The Lead” on CNN where he discussed the race with anchor Jake Tapper, telling the Democrat shill that Haley’s doing a bang-up job for their party.

Asked about who among Trump and Haley would be “easier to beat” in the general election, Newsom gushed with praise over the Democrats’ not-so-secret weapon.

“First of all I think she’s one of our better surrogates, so I hope she stays in, I hope she does well tomorrow,” he said, adding that 99 percent of the nasty things that she said about Trump are “spot on” in his opinion.

“So I‘m enjoying, I‘m enjoying this primary and I hope it continues so I wish her luck,” Newsom added. “But look, Trump’s the nominee, we all know that. You know that. Everybody out there knows that and I think the polls suggest she’s gonna get walloped tomorrow and than she’ll make a case I guess to just continue in this but again, I have no problem with her continuing for as long as she wishes because I think she‘s making a good case against Trump.”

Haley’s former rival for the Republican nomination, Vivek Ramaswamy who got under her skin sees Newsom’s words as being vindicating for his observations of “Backdoor Nikki” as an establishment plant.

“Gavin Newsom about Nikki Haley: ‘she’s one of our better surrogates.’ The game plan has been hiding in plain sight. Now it’s not even hiding,” wrote Ramaswamy, who suspended his campaign and endorsed Trump after Iowa.

“Nikki didn’t even *try* to collect any delegates in Nevada & now she’ll get *zero* from South Carolina, yet her anti-Trump mega donor $$ is still flowing,” Ramaswamy wrote on X earlier this week. “The game is hiding in plain sight: they’re hoping for Biden’s lawfare to eliminate Trump & then backdoor Nikki, or else make a play for her on No Labels to detract votes from Trump in the general.”

A real Republican with any decency would publicly reject Newsom’s praise, but Nimarata Haley is completely devoid of shame and could only be successful in putting Biden back into the White House because most of their policies are exactly the same, especially when it comes to Ukraine.
