It’s like déjà vu all over again.
With 253 days before the 2024 presidential election, the White House is warning that Russia may interfere with the “democracy of the United States of America.”
On Sunday’s episode of NBC News’s “Meet the Press,” White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan stated “of course there are concerns” of Russian meddling.
He just “can’t speak to” any evidence that would support his claim.

“There is a history here in presidential elections by the Russian Federation, by its intelligence services, and there’s plenty of reason to be concerned,” Sulivan insisted to host Kristen Welker.
“This is not about politics,” he stressed. “This is about national security. It is about a foreign country, a foreign adversary, seeking to manipulate the politics and democracy of the United States of America.”
Never fear, however. Sullivan assured Welker that President Biden’s administration will be “vigilant” about stopping election interference.
“We will engage the Congress on a bipartisan basis,” he promised, “because this should be above and beyond politics.”

Of course, NBC News doesn’t favor just anyone concerned about election integrity.

As Ukraine’s war with Russia marks its second anniversary, Sullivan also swore that Ukraine can still defeat the world’s largest nation, so long as Americans keep the cash rolling.
“Two years later, the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, stands,” he said. “The country stands proud and free and resisting Russian aggression.”
“So,” he continued, “we need to understand that, actually, Ukraine has, in many ways, succeeded in thwarting the fundamental objective of [Russian President] Vladimir Putin, which was to subjugate the country of Ukraine.”
Sure, there have been recent “setbacks,” Sullivan acknowledged, but that’s only because Ukraine “didn’t have enough ammunition” to defend itself.
It is “up to” the United States to provide Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with “the tools” he needs to win, he stated.
