‘Weird flex’: Kansas City Chiefs heiress has touching message for fans, ruins it with ‘inappropriate’ selfie

Kansas City Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt is getting a quick lesson that reliance on God and the belief in Heaven has a limited shelf life in post-Obama America — then again, selfies and displays of sympathy may not go together as well as a cup of coffee and a sunrise.

Hunt found herself the target of ire from social media users when she posted a tribute to the victims of Wednesday’s shooting during a Super Bowl parade celebrating the hometown Chiefs defending their championship — at least 20 people were injured and a popular local radio DJ was killed in what turned out to be a “dispute between several people,” according to police. From President Biden down, many on the left were quick to consider the incident yet another mass shooting and wasted no time calling for gun control.

“The most beautiful, perfect day of love, laughter, & celebration at the Chiefs Super Bowl parade turned upside down in an instant. I’m still processing today’s tragedy. I love this city and I’m angry at what took place and heartbroken for the victims, their families, & the KC community,” Hunt shared in a tweet.

“This world is broken and thank God it is not our home. I’m thankful for the hope of Heaven. Life is precious and each day is a gift. I’m grateful for a Savior whose sacrifice on the cross gives us the assurance of a perfect eternity in Heaven—with no death, no fear, no grief, and no pain. If you don’t have that—I promise you, you want it when you’re facing that moment,” she continued. “Thank you to the first responders for your swift actions that saved more lives from being lost. Thank you to KCPD, Chiefs security, brave citizens, and everyone at Union Station who worked to manage the chaos and pandemonium.

“Kansas City—hug those you love extra tightly tonight. We love you big this Valentine’s Day and always.❤️”

As seen above, Hunt shared several photos with the tribute, including a shot of her holding the Lombardi trophy awarded to Super Bowl winners. She also shared more than one shot of her shapely backside.

None of which went over well with social media users.

On a side note, Hunt also thanked Jesus for the Super Bowl win:

Here’s a quick sampling of the blowback directed at Hunt, as seen on X:
