You can’t make it up! Biden defends his memory by forgetting the president of Mexico

A steaming hot President Joe Biden held an emergency unscheduled news conference to defend his memory after the release of a devastating special counsel report but only confirmed that his mind is mush.

The bombshell findings of special counsel Robert Hur’s probe into his mishandling of classified materials predictably let him off the hook but portrayed him as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” who a jury wouldn’t convict, citing examples of Biden’s encroaching senility including his struggles to remember when his son Beau died.

In an ill-advised presser that only made things worse for the geriatric Democrat, Biden angrily jousted with reporters but got confused about world leaders for the third time in less than a week when he mixed up the presidents of Egypt and Mexico.

Asked a question about the conflict between Israel and Hamas, the 81-year-old misidentified Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi as the president of Mexico.

“As you know, initially, the president of Mexico Sisi did not want to open up the gate to allow humanitarian material to get in. I talked to him. I convinced him to open the gate,” Biden said, unintentionally confirming Hur’s brutal assessment of his mental state.

Biden’s seemingly spur-of-the-moment decision to publicly defend himself after the special counsel report dropped is yet another wet mop cleanup for his handlers who have had their hands full with the deteriorating commander-in-chief whom they desperately need to portray as mentally competent for reelection despite a mountain of evidence to the contrary.

Reactions to Biden’s disastrous presser were brutal as X users held nothing back.

The administration knew in advance about Hur’s depiction of the doddering Biden as borderline senile and tried in vain to get the special counsel to change it, according to Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich.

“Not only do you treat the President differently from other witnesses when discussing his limited recall of certain years-ago events, but you also do so on occasions in prejudicial and inflammatory terms,” Biden’s lawyers wrote to Hur. “We request that you revisit your descriptions of President Biden’s memory and revise them so that they are stated in a manner that is within the bounds of your expertise and remit.”
