Leftists called foul after the Biden Justice Department threw a curveball with a criminal probe of Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) in an unexpected move this week, drawing the ire of many including MSNBC regular Elie Mystal who blew his stack at AG Merrick Garland.
The volatile Mystal who is well known for his racially-charged rants as for his distinctive hairdo joined left-wing pundit Dean Obeidallah on a recent edition of “The Dean Obeidallah Show” on SiriusXM where he raged that Bush, a member of a protected political class would merit scrutiny from the feds who in his opinion, should be focused on investigating Republican House members.
“My issue is [Garland] launched this investigation but clearly cowardly refused to do the similar thing to the people we saw try to overthrow the government on January 6th.” @ElieNYC tells @DeanObeidallah his opinion on the DOJ investigating Cori Bush and not Jim Jordan. pic.twitter.com/fSn6IVMEQB

“This weak complicit person who I cannot say on a family radio program, is literally trying to look me in the face and tell me he’s willing to investigate Cori Bush, but he is going to let all of the January 6th co-conspirator Congress-people skate,” the combustible legal analyst said.
“Not even without without a subpoena, without a question he’s not even going to ask. He’s not even going to ask Jim Jordan, Ron Johnson. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Paul Gosar to account for themselves on January 6th, but he’s going to launch a whole investigation into Cori Bush,” Mystal continued. “He is, and I’ve said this from the jump, the worst possible attorney general for this moment and he proves that every freaking day,”
“Now, that is not to defend Cori Bush,” he said, hedging on the idea that she’s a victim of racism as others have claimed. “I do not know what she is accused of doing if she has done something wrong. Look, if you’re Cori Bush, you welcome the investigation because it’s an opportunity to prove that whatever you did was not illegal.”
“I like Cori Bush,” he proclaimed. “I love her politics. I love that she brings to the table an experience that is often underrepresented, underrepresented not just in our Congress, but in our media culture in general,” expressing his admiration for a fellow anti-white racist.
“She has been impoverished, she has been homeless,” he added. “Having that kind of person in Congress, I think it’s critically important so I am a big supporter of Cori Bush. I hope that this investigation comes to nothing, but I do not question….well, look, you investigate what you investigate and hopefully you’re proved innocent at the end.
“My issue is not that he launched this investigation if he has good evidence,” he said of Garland. “My issue is that he launched this investigation, but clearly outwardly refused to do the similar thing to the people that we saw try to overthrow the government on January 6th.”
