Lest we forget, Democrats can question election results at will and refuse to accept the outcome of said elections without having to bear the cross of being a demon out to destroy democracy. Fair or not, that’s just how we roll in the year 2024, where actual journalism is a lost art and truth is fleeting.
Channeling his inner Stacey Abrams, President Joe Biden referred to failed Democratic gubernatorial nominee Terry McAuliffe as the “real governor” during a speech Tuesday in Virginia — McAuliffe lost to Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin in 2021 by a deciding 63,688 votes.
“Hello, Virginia. And the real governor, Terry McAuliffe!” quipped Biden, who has previously called Trump the “election denier-in-chief.”
Gov. Youngkin wasted little time reminding the cognitively challenged 81-year-old president who the real governor of Virginia is.

The drama brings to mind the 2018 race for governor in Georgia when Abrams lost by well over 50,000 votes but refused to concede the “rotten and rigged” election. Instead, she declared that “democracy failed in Georgia,” alleging voter suppression targeting African Americans.
While the Democrat who went on to lose the gubernatorial race a second time in 2022 can claim the outcome was “altered,” heaven forbid if Donald Trump makes a similar claim.
As Megyn Kelly tweeted in response to Biden’s remark, “Election denialism is only bad if your name is Trump.”
Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) also tweeted, “I thought saying something like this was ‘a threat to democracy.’ This man doesn’t have a speck of integrity.”
