Biden ‘running out’ of patience as Gaza war hits 100 days – Bibi says ‘nobody will stop us’

President Joe Biden is reportedly running out of patience with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu as per the Israel-Hamas war.

“Biden and other senior U.S. officials are becoming increasingly frustrated with … Netanyahu and his rejection of most of the administration’s recent requests related to the war in Gaza,” Axios reported Sunday, citing unnamed sources.

“Since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack 100 days ago, Biden has given Israel his full backing, with unprecedented military and diplomatic support, even while taking a political hit from part of his base in an election year. That support has largely continued publicly, but behind the scenes, there are growing signs that Biden is losing his patience,” the outlet added.

Here’s how one anonymous U.S. official put it: “The situation sucks and we are stuck. The president’s patience is running out.”

“There is immense frustration,” another U.S. official said.

Sen. Chris Van Hollen, a Democrat, meanwhile said, “They are pleading with the Netanyahu coalition, but getting slapped in the face over and over again.”

Probably because they’ve been pleading with Netanyahu to put on kid gloves in its attacks against Hamas, the terrorist group that butchered 1,200+ Israeli Jews during the Oct. 7th terror attack.

For example, during a Dec. 23rd phone call, Netanyahu reportedly rejected the president’s request for Israel to release Palestinian tax revenues that it’s been withholding — and that “Bibi” knows that Hamas would use to fund more rocket attacks on Israel.

“This conversation is over,” Biden reportedly said in response as he hung up the phone on the Israeli PM.

According to Axios, the president is also mad at Netanyahu for not “doing enough to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza” — which, again, “Bibi” knows Hamas would just steal:

The president is “also frustrated by Netanyahu’s unwillingness to seriously discuss plans for the day after the war and his rejection of the U.S. plan for a reformed Palestinian Authority to have a role in post-Hamas Gaza,” according to Axios.

But many critics say the the Palestinian Authority (PA) is just as bad as Hamas and has in fact been funding them:

The president also wants Netanyahu to “scale down” his military operations against Hamas “in hopes of reducing Palestinian casualties,” but such a move would essentially mean conceding defeat.

The Israeli Prime Minister has for his part made it clear he intends to keep fighting — and fighting HARD — until Hamas is completely and unequivocally annihilated.

“Nobody will stop us — not The Hague, not the axis of evil, not anybody else,” he said during a speech in Tel Aviv delivered this Saturday.

“We embarked on this war after we were massacred. We are not stopping. We are continuing until we eliminate Hamas and return our hostages,” he added.

Netanyahu also vowed to continue fighting until full “victory” is achieved.

“Citizens of Israel, we are on the path to victory,” he said. “We will not stop until we achieve victory. I know that there are those who doubt this – I am not among them. I hear your call and know that you, citizens of Israel, are not among them either.”

“We are doing this together to the end. I believe in our people, in our soldiers and commanders, and I believe that after the massacre of October 7, we will not compromise on anything less than total victory,” he added.

Dovetailing back to Biden, so far he refuses to publicly admit his frustrations with Netanyahu.

Indeed, when questioned about the frustration, a National Security Council spokesperson demurred, claiming the administration is “focused on making sure Israel can defend itself from Hamas,” seeking to increase aid to Gaza “to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian civilians” and working with Israel “to secure the release of all the hostages.”
