President Biden is reportedly fuming behind the scenes about his falling approval rating, which has now cratered lower than Vice President Kamala Harris’ dismal numbers.
That’s according to a new Monmouth poll showing that just 34 percent of Americans approved of the job Biden is doing, the lowest number since he took office — Harris pulls in 35 percent. Overall, 61 percent of Americans say they disapprove of the job the 81-year-old president is doing.
Biden reportedly confronted his staff last month on what they were doing about the tanking poll numbers.

The night before President Biden departed Washington to celebrate Thanksgiving on Nantucket, Mass., he gathered his closest aides for a meeting in the White House residence.
After pardoning a pair of turkeys, an annual White House tradition, Biden delivered some stern words for the small group assembled: His poll numbers were unacceptably low and he wanted to know what his team and his campaign were doing about it. He complained that his economic message had done little to move the ball, even as the economy was growing and unemployment was falling, according to people familiar with his comments, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a private conversation.
The frustration only grows when factoring in recent polling showing Donald Trump, the front-runner for the Republican nomination, beating Biden in a head-to-head matchup.
The White House keeps touting “Bidenomics” as the source for improving economic numbers, even boasting about falling inflation numbers. Then again, inflation hit a record high last year under Biden so there’s plenty of room to fall.
On that note, polling shows that while inflation may be coming down the frustration Americans have over high prices is not.
“The Biden administration keeps touting their infrastructure investments and a host of positive economic indicators. Those data points may be factual, but most Americans are still smarting from higher prices caused by post-pandemic inflation,” Patrick Murray, the director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute, told the Daily Mail. “This seems to be what’s driving public opinion.”
Biden’s ratings in December were the worst on the issues of immigration and inflation.
As the British newspaper noted, 69 percent of those polled disapproved of Biden’s handling of immigration, while 68 percent disapproved of his handling of inflation. Forty-four percent of Americans say they are struggling to remain where they are financially, up from 41 percent in March.
“There is political danger in pushing a message that basically tells people their take on their own situation is wrong,” Murray warned.
