Anti-Israel activists shut down LA freeway, traffic paralyzed by stunt

Anti-Israel activists paralyzed a vital Los Angeles traffic artery when they blocked Interstate 110 with another of the pro-Hamas protests that have taken place to demand a ceasefire before the terror organization is eradicated.

On Wednesday morning, activists from the local chapter of a radical left-wing organization parked themselves across the southbound Harbor Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, completely shutting down travel for commuters during rush hour for about two hours until police were able to end the protest, taking dozens of the activist miscreants into custody, allowing for the resumption of traffic.

Local news reports show the scene with video taken from sky cam helicopters was a column of vehicles is trapped with no way to exit, inconveniencing people who were just trying to get to work and go about their daily business, not to mention impeding a route for ambulances and emergency vehicles.

Backups also extended to nearby side streets and highways, creating a major traffic nightmare during one of the busiest times of the day.

The group that organized the protest, IfNotNow identifies itself as “a movement of American Jews organizing our community to end U.S. support for Israel’s apartheid system and demand equality, justice, and a thriving future for all Palestinians and Israelis.”

IfNotNow uses the professed Judaism of its members to cloak what is the same type of anti-western agenda that has been at the heart of other domestic “protest” movements that have waged war against society in post-Obama America, most notably, the George Floyd “summer of love” mayhem and various and sundry anti-Trump demonstrations.

“We have tried everything else. We have called, we have marched, we have sung, we have prayed. We have written letters and visited offices,” said IfNotNow spokesperson Noa Kattler-Kupetz in a statement, according to the Los Angeles Times. “Yet politicians like President Biden continue to stonewall, and Israel continues to slaughter innocent Gazans by the thousands. Enough. We cannot wait another day.”

According to one local report, school buses were among the vehicles affected by the protest.

While such disruptive demonstrations make for great performative theatrics and grab headlines, the activists aren’t exactly winning the hearts and minds of people who might otherwise be swayed to sympathy for the cause.

“A pro-Hamas mob has shut down the 110 freeway in Los Angeles and angry drivers take matters into their own hands,” wrote conservative commentator Charlie Kirk on X, sharing a video of the angry reaction to the protest. “Not only is this ‘protest. illegal and dangerous, it’s also dumb. They just clogged Angelenos main artery running through downtown, the sacred cow of transportation. If you want to turn LA Democrats off from supporting your cause, this is how you do it. Bravo, idiots.”

Another video posted to X shows one bystander tossing a traffic cone at the protesters.
