The news each day coming from the Middle East – a region not so long ago thought to be a declining world hotspot due to American energy independence and the Abraham Accords – only confirms something wise observers have known for some time.
Namely, that very little in current events is organic or accidental. We are where we are because people with specific agendas have put us here.
As demonstrated in the new book Racism, Revenge and Ruin: It’s All Obama, there is a specific faction of our ruling class who are fueling the conflict, and that faction has a leader.
He’s very recognizable. He’s the 44th President of the United States. He’s also the first former president who, rather than going home after leaving office, decided to move from the White House just a few blocks away and still lives in Washington, DC.
Joe Biden’s foreign policy is essentially the same as Barack Obama’s foreign policy, save for a few items in a few countries where Biden’s son and brother managed to engage in very lucrative business deals. When it comes to Israel and Iran, and by extension the Iranians’ cats-paws in Hamas and Hezbollah, Team Biden is Team Obama.
And perhaps more accurately, Team Mullah.
It was Obama who sent billions of dollars, including pallets of cash, to Tehran as a bribe to entice them into a hyper-permissive nuclear arms deal nobody seriously believes will stop the Iranians from building nuclear warheads. And after a brief Trumpian interregnum, it’s Biden – perhaps better described as Obama Redux – who continues that appeasement of Iran. First there was six billion dollars in frozen assets he agreed to unfreeze, swearing up and down that the money could only be used for humanitarian purposes (as if money isn’t fungible). And now, most recently and in secret, there was another $!0 billion in “sanctions waivers” put on the table.
Had Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-Mich.) not entered that last item into the congressional record, nobody would know about it. Our legacy corporate media certainly isn’t interested in spreading that news. But seeing as though the Biden administration is attempting to pass that paper after Iran’s Hamas proxies staged one of the worst atrocities this century has seen on October 7, it’s no longer plausible to claim Team Biden/Team Obama are on Israel’s side.
Obama turbocharged a long pattern during his years in office. That pattern begins with Hamas or the other gangster mini-regimes plying their trades in the unwanted territories making war against Israel in the only ways they can – commando terrorist raids, suicide bombings, rocket attacks or other indiscriminate attacks on Israeli civilians. The Israelis then retaliate, hoping that maybe for once they’ll be able to fatally wound Hamas. But there are always human shields, whether Israeli hostages, captives from other Western countries or even the women and children of Gaza and the West Bank. And any kinetic Israeli military action is bound – by Hamas’ design – to result in collateral damage.
When military headquarters and weapons caches are installed in hospitals and pre-schools, it isn’t difficult to understand what’s happening and why. Soon it’s the Israelis who are the villains and the Palestinians, the majority of whom voted for and support the terrorists who time and again commence the hostilities with support from Iran, are the poor victims. Eventually Israel succumbs to the pressure put on them, most importantly by the White House, and goes home without victory – and with the knowledge that more of their countrymen will die because the job of crushing Hamas went unfinished.
And yet this pattern repeats and repeats.
The killing repeats and repeats.
Our betrayal of Israel in service to Iran, a betrayal which is now pervading our institutions of higher education which Obama’s Hard Left corrupted in full years ago – and you can see it when ignorant and oblivious college students demonstrate on behalf of Islamic jihadists with idiotic signs saying things like “Queers For Palestine” – is a feature of Obama’s which continues.
As Racism, Revenge and Ruin details, Obama’s intellectual development was shepherded by figures who hate Israel and America. It’s no surprise he’s been at war with both since he became a relevant political figure. The American people won’t stand for a pure pro-Palestinian stance, so instead we get a muddled mess which only serves to promote the bloodshed and conflict enveloping Israel.
We can do better, and we should demand better from our leaders. But Team Biden/Team Obama don’t much care about our opinion. And so the only way to ever achieve calm in that part of the world is to keep the Obamunist faction far, far away from political power on this side of the world.
