Disney guest arrested after shucking his clothes, wading through ‘It’s a Small World’ ride

Police arrested a man who stripped off his clothing while on Disneyland’s popular “It’s a Small World” ride in a bizarre incident that shocked his fellow guests who watched in horror from their boats.

It was just another weekend afternoon at the sprawling Anaheim theme park when on Sunday, an unidentified 26-year-old male allegedly hopped out of one of the slow-moving boats that traverses the attraction and wandered around among the animatronic dolls, all while a special holiday version of the familiar soundtrack was being played.

The individual initially only shucked his laundry down to the undershorts but at some point, he discarded them as well and frolicked naked through the water-filled canals with images and videos of the unwelcome surprise being posted to social media.

“I am on Small World and there was a streaker, I cannot believe this happening,” one person posted to X, previously known as Twitter.

Videos shared on X show the man as he made his way through “It’s a Small World” which was stopped by park employees as soon as they became aware of the situation.

According to media reports, police responded to the park at around 1:30 pm to assist Disneyland security personnel in handling the situation with the misbehaving guest who was arrested for suspicion of indecent exposure and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

After being hauled out of the park by the cops, the man was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, according to police.

“It was crazy to see someone behave like that in a place like Disneyland,” one park guest told Fox 11 Los Angeles. “And to see them be nude in public, it was not the place to do it and it was shocking.”

“We were worried that he was gonna jump on us cause at one point he kind of just stared at us and it looked like he was like moving towards us,” another guest told the outlet, crediting the cast members for their handling of the strange situation.

“Voyage along the Seven Seaways canal and behold a cast of almost 300 Audio-Animatronics dolls representing children from every corner of the globe as they sing the classic anthem to world peace—in their native languages,” according to Disney’s description of the ride that debuted in 1966. “Amid vibrant backdrops, you’ll travel through country after country, and by journey’s end, you’ll see that it really is a small world after all.”

“Board a whimsical boat ride for a song-filled journey around the globe—this cherubic chorus is pure joy!” Disney’s website states.
