President Biden held a solo news conference after his summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the outskirts of spiffy clean San Francisco — city officials scrubbed the streets of homeless drug addicts and the squalor that accompanies them in honor of the Chinese Communist Party leader.
The lethargic 8o-year-old U.S. president mumbled his way through the summit and was no better when he addressed the press afterward, as seen in a clip where he spoke about how it was his “responsibility” to ensure the U.S. relationship with China is “rational and manageable so it doesn’t result in conflict.”
In touting the mutual interests they found, Biden said there was an agreement reached on fentanyl: “We’re in a situation where we agreed that fentanyl and its precursors will be curbed substantially and the pill presses. That’s a big — that’s a big movement.”
Biden followed that by going off script with a boneheaded anecdote that made no sense whatsoever.
“By the way, you know, I won’t — I guess I shouldn’t identify where it occurred — but I know two people near where I live. Their kids, literally, as I said — stra- — they woke up dead. Someone had inserted in — whether the young man did or not — inserted in a drug he was taking, fentanyl.”
Biden says he discussed fentanyl with Xi Jinping, then goes off script: “I know two people near where I live — their kids, literally, they woke up dead.”

The president noted that fentanyl is the largest killer of young people but, as the RNC noted in the clip above, he did not say a word about the vast amounts of fentanyl being trafficked across the wide open southern border every single day.
Actor James Woods took notice of the inane remark about waking up dead, prompting a follower to quip: “That is the absolute worst way to wake up.”
That is the absolute worst way to wake up…

Then again, there’s a logical explanation to the conundrum, as seen here:

Here’s a quick sampling of other responses to the story, as seen on X:
If fentanyl is so bad, then why are our borders wide open? What a disgrace

I’d love to see James Woods debate Brandon without his handlers

That’s quite the paradoxical wake-up call.
