Country music star John Rich shared a video of a woman reacting as her groceries are being scanned at the checkout counter, with the original post equating the experience to life under Bidenomics.
While the White House and its media parrots continue to insist inflation is under control, anyone who shops for groceries knows better. Then again, self-serving politicians have long ago perfected the art of data manipulation.
The clip captured the woman’s over-the-top exaggeration as she watched the total dollar amount owed quickly climb, but it’s not too far out of the realm of reality with grocery bills skyrocketing around the country.
“This would be totally hilarious, if it wasn’t so true,” Rich tweeted.

When the clerk asks if she’s okay, the woman replies, “It’s just that you’ve only scanned a few items and it’s already 60 bucks. I’m so scared!”
“Ok, I’m a trained professional, ma’am. I’ve scanned a lot of groceries. I need you to stay with me. This isn’t gonna be easy, so I need you to be brave,” the clerk says in return.
He tries to distract her by asking what her name is, before warning, “I need you to take a deep breath, we’re about to do the cheese.”
“Oh my god!” the frantic woman cries out.
“Don’t look up there! It only makes it worse. Keep your eyes on me,” the clerk tells her as she monitors the total on the register display.
And on and on it goes as she screams, “No stop. I can’t do this anymore. I’m not strong enough!”
After finally summoning the strength to pay the $257.84 total, the woman is handed a single bag of groceries.
“Here you are ma’am. A healthy bundle of groceries,” the clerk says, as if she had just given birth to them.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
I cringe at the checkout even though I’ve added it up in my head. I buy most of my dad’s groceries too – he’s on a fixed income. It’s just not “fixed” enough to afford Bidenomics.

Only thing missing is that my card would be rejected.

It’s really a tough time for the everyday Americans out there.
It is funny, but sad

My husband regularly sees elders and young parents removing items at the check stand because they don’t have enough money to pay for it all- at Walmart. It’s sad.

It is funny but gets across the point of how much groceries have risen under Biden, along with everything else due to his middle-class destroying Bidenomics.
